Yep, the story for OKC isn’t the fouls it’s that the offense looks so forced and they are missing open threes when they do get them.

Y'all have been a super efficient offense for most of the year, so I think Mark has some stuff cooking, but I really think Dallas being able to guard Chet on the wing with smaller guys is making it hard for everybody else on offense outside of SGA mid-range. Maybe involving him in some on-ball action or moving a bit more can have Dallas scrambling a bit, and then having a three point threat out there for Giddey like Joe?

It's a shame Hayward is a shell of himself, 'cause him from a few years ago would be very helpful.

Yes. Blame the Mavs excellent defense. They are really primed for a title run should this be consistent the rest of the playoffs.

I love Shai but I agree he’s gonna get a ton of hate. Expectations are high and he should have been MVP. With that said Luka isn’t even playing well so there is truly no excuse

That’s the pay back of regular season overclaim if indeed the lack of rebounding and playmaking leading to the losses.

No consistency from the refs. First Dort gets to the line on a super soft bump. On the next possession Holmgren and Dort get smacked multiple times without a call.
If the refs call it like they did in the first 3-4 minutes of the 2nd quarter OKC shoots 15+ FTA in the quarter. In the bonus with seven minutes left in the quarter and all of a sudden the refs swallow the whistle. But on the other hand it's not like the Mavs are getting any calls. Dort has a Draymond-esque ability to get away with more contact than any other defender on the floor.

They're also confused.

There's clearly a memo - allow physicality in the playoffs. But they just don't have enough reps, thus we're seeing such inconsistent whistles in the same game. A couple of possessions Dort getting away with a murder, then they're calling a soft foul on Doncic against Dort, and the last possession happen: they think they've already given enough leeway to Dort, thus they can't call that clear foul against him.

As other poster just stated, just call fouls if they are fouls whether it is regular season or playoffs...

As people said time and time again during the season, playoff experience matters.

SGA is the new shiny toy everyone became enamoured with.

Playoffs are a different beast. More physical, teams are playing with more effort, they’re dialled into everything you do.

Chet also needs to get bigger. He’s never going to be some enormously strong guy but he’s built like a pencil right now. Easy to beat up on a team that has him as their main big.

Well all year the talk was he’s better than this guy, that guy etc because of how well his team is going.

It’s only natural he gets criticism like other players do if his team falls short.
