It's always tough as a coach, something else could have worked, and nothing might have worked, and something else could have been worse.

When TWolves were making the run in 3rd, and Denver looked lost on offensive end, he's gotta call a time out. I saw Nuggets just start walking when they went up by 20, like they had won the game, and lost their intensity. That's a danger sign, you gotta call the time out and snap them out of it. This happened to Pacers too, and Carlisle called a couple of time outs to right them. Malone didn't call one till it was too late, when the lead was down to 4. By then Wolves had all the momentum. And he lost the opportunity to rest Jokic. The game was for their taking right there in 3rd. Malone mismanaged it badly there, like he's some rookie coach.
Also keeping Jokic in, letting him wear down, as the Wolves caught up. The team looked stuck, doing their thing, having it not work. Over and over. Gordon was down in the dunker spot, catching passes, and then hesitating to attempt a shot near Gobert and kicking it back out for contested jump shots. There's a saying:

When you get your dick stuck in the vacuum cleaner, turn it off.

I'm feeling MIN in 6 over Dallas.

I've seen Lebron go entire playoff runs playing 48 minutes and still taking bums to the Finals.

This is what separates the GOATs from the just great players.

We've watched him unravel ever since Embiid did his usual post-season flame out and with each passing day he's become more and more unhinged. Instead of bashing him, have some empathy and allow him to celebrate the 76ers fanbase "championship" - Jokic being knocked out in the playoffs. Congrats, eyeatoma/Hussein/JustBuzzin, enjoy your moment. 8-)

On another note, Jokic had a bad game by his standard (34/19/7) so he's not above criticism, but I think at this it's time for him to either ask for a trade to a team with a second star or demand the Nuggets get a star teammate.

Problem is Jokic wont do that. He’s like Giannis but nowhere near as passive aggressive and he’ll let the FO do their job w/o any interference. Because Jokic and Giannis are not as aggressive as KD/Lebron or willing to actually leave their franchises they both may end up with only one ring similar to Durk

This Nuggets team is 5x better than any Cavs team young Bron played with

Yes all 21 points they scored outside of Jokic and Murray.

denver's bench is one of the worst in the league let alone playoffs. i really hope they make adjustments in the roster so we can watch jokic in a well suited team while he is still in his prime. his best options on offense are murray and mpj. mpj has never been the most consistent but murray just showed he is not fully reliable either in the playoffs. i mean how the hell dj gets a roster spot in 2024 in your roster as your mvp's back up. or you hope justin holiday or reggie jackson to be your 4th scoring option at some point as a contender? just not a good roster building. even though they won last year, i dont think they faced a team like this year's wolves or celtics. roster just needs to get better. they were gonna get gassed in the wcf or finals if it werent for the wolves.
wolves might have the best shot against boston. i don't think anyone outscore boston in a shooting race. this wolves team really has the potential to slow them down. the question is are they gonna keep their offense consistent. dallas is more like the version we expected denver to be. they play slow and live for the open shots. luka and kyrie are much tougher to hold than murray. must be a fun series.

This was one of those incredibly rare games where the road team’s role players showed up and were awesome and the home team’s role players all sucked. It’s generally a safe bet that if you’re playing at home your role players are going to play well, or at the very least, play decently. Although Jokic and Murray were individually great, Denver as a team couldn’t even rise to the level of mediocre tonight.

I’m sure it’s happened before but I can’t remember the last time we saw such a stark role reversal in a game 7 like this.

Right. And the best player in the game tonight. 19 RB, 7 AST, 34 PTS.

If you’re someone who’s blaming Jokic, take a long look at yourself.

11-26 fg to get that 34 pts Kat and Reid played great D on him Kat was best player in game

Naw, we don't wanna hear that. His team had a 20-point lead at home and the 3-time MVP is supposed to do whatever it takes to get the dub. He had 32/18/7 but it wasn't enough. He needed to do more.

In that fourth quarter, his teammates weren't hitting anything and the Wolves were throwing multiple guys at him every time he touched the ball, and he had played nearly every minute of the game. At a certain point, it's just unreasonable to want more.

Naw, I want more. This guy is supposedly in contention for offensive GOAT? Then I need more. Because if LeBron had blown a 20pt lead at home in a game 7, he be getting roasted.

MPJ had to win the battle vs McDaniels. He was 4-21 from 3 in the last 4 games and he had good looks. Just couldn't make them.

Different teams and contexts but still Gobert advancing further than Mitchell is something to ponder...

There’s an elation I feel watching these 2 guys fail and be humbled.

Also, Braun is so annoying, I can’t even put my finger on why. When I see him on screen I feel like he needs be knocked out. I think it’s partially because he looks like he’s always flexing.

Jokic definitely isn’t to blame but I think Kat was actually the best player tonight regardless of the stats.

Minnesota was absolutely dead in the water early on if he didn’t carry them.
