Also keeping Jokic in, letting him wear down, as the Wolves caught up. The team looked stuck, doing their thing, having it not work. Over and over. Gordon was down in the dunker spot, catching passes, and then hesitating to attempt a shot near Gobert and kicking it back out for contested jump shots. It's always tough as a coach, something else could have worked, and nothing might have worked, and something else could have been worse.
When TWolves were making the run in 3rd, and Denver looked lost on offensive end, he's gotta call a time out. I saw Nuggets just start walking when they went up by 20, like they had won the game, and lost their intensity. That's a danger sign, you gotta call the time out and snap them out of it. This happened to Pacers too, and Carlisle called a couple of time outs to right them. Malone didn't call one till it was too late, when the lead was down to 4. By then Wolves had all the momentum. And he lost the opportunity to rest Jokic. The game was for their taking right there in 3rd. Malone mismanaged it badly there, like he's some rookie coach.
