The best GMs sign the right players long term.

Easier said than done, particularly when talking about bench players.

Nuggets got lucky with Brown and got him cheap because teams didn’t value him as much as they should have (he was playing well in Brooklyn). It would have been wild for them to sign him up to some longer deal from day one though.

They were never going to be able to keep him once a team threw some money at him.

That’s the reality with the CBA. Teams really have to strike while the iron is hot because their depth will quickly disappear as seasons go on and salary implications hit.

Who was the one doing the talking first? A Celtic fan. I just put them in their place where they belonged because this is their 6th ECF in 8 years and they got 1 Finals appearance to show for it, 0 rings. Talk is cheap, win the title then talk.

Too much flexing going on when your teams ain't won nothing. I don't sit here and go "Dallas is gonna beat Minnesota then beat Boston" I don't do that.

You put me in my place?

What the **** are you talking about? Are you mental? It certainly looks like. I never mentioned the Wolves, the Mavericks, Nuggets or any team. I'm talking about Jaden McDaniels' attitude. If you have a personal agenda against the Celtics and Celtics' fans, thats your problem and you should make an appointment with your shrink to treat this obsession.

You were flexing on a Wolves poster, telling them not to celebrate going to the WCF saying they ain't won nothing, when your team hasn't either. Seems you would just be smarter about it. Yet this was your celebration when the Celtics made the ECF, you celebrating like they won the championship

WE ARE IN THE ECF, BABYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got exactly what you deserved you started this whole thing. Trying to tell someone they haven't won anything and not to celebrate when what the hell has your team won? And what the hell is wrong with celebrating their team going to the WCF when you did the exact same thing with your team and the ECF? It's like bro, have some shame.

Funny because when Embiid has human emotions in post game press conferences people on realgm are the first to jump on it. Same goes with when he cried after. The internet literally made a meme out of someones valid human emotion after he lost on a heart breaking buzzer beater. Just lol, don't give me that BS. It was a legitimate question. The least he could do is not say stupid ass questions. All he needed to do was say next question, the other stuff was unnecessary.

I hope Embiid pays you

Stating that Ant is a more willing defender than Wade is honestly a ridiculous take. I love Ant btw, he’s my favorite non-Knick player. But Wade was an all defense caliber player in his prime. Y’all seriously need to stop with these hot takes based off living in the moment.

Ant is already All Defense caliber, proven by votes he received for the All Defense team last year. This year he’ll get more.

I never stated that he wasn’t. My whole point is that Wade was an elite defender in his prime. Saying that he is a more willing and better defender than Wade is extremely premature.

I have to agree. It's not really about Embiid or anyone. The reporter is asking him to kind of break down how they made history by blowing a 20 point lead at home in game 7, yet Malone is completely dismissing the question.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

How often does Joker get blocked after a back to the basket move? I don’t remember the last time.

Naz blocked him like that multiple times this series.

It's particularly weird because Naz Reid isn't even a particularly special defensive player. He is mostly fine (largely got cooked this series), but he stuffed three or four Jokić shots.

Crunch 99 wrote:Yes, in addition to defeating the converted 56 win Clippers in 19-20 playoffs, the Nuggets defeated the converted 50 win Jazz in the 19-20 playoffs. The effort by some posters to discredit Jokic and the Nuggets is a bit ridiculous imo.

Yeah, I totally forgot about that bolded part. I should have seen it when I was doing my 82-win conversion math, the Jazz record was staring at me, and I failed to catch that. Kudos for the added fact, Crunch.

You can officially blame it on my total focus of the Clipper's refusal to be competent (stubborn?), but in my defense the franchise has been doing this for years, where we were expecting them to do something right for once but then end up doing something wrong because they wanted that win to be extra specially perfect. They care more about wanting to be loved, respected and worshiped like Lakers, and blew it all for fear of losing trust with their fans. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Pinnacle of sports. Only thing better is Tiger down by 2 shots heading into the 18th at Augusta

Just wanted to point out that anyone going into 18 at Augusta down by 2 shots has basically already lost. First they'd have to hit a great drive through the chute, then hole out on a difficult uphill shot just to get into a playoff where they still might lose. There's a better chance of someone in the NBA hitting a fadeaway full-court shot from the furthest corner of the court lol.

Unless you meant Tiger UP by 2 heading into 18 at Augusta, like he was in 2019. :D

it was such an advantage for minny to have a player of reid's calibre come off the bench in the 4th full of energy whilst everyone else on the court was exhausted. it was clear he was playing with much more energy than anyone else on the court.

depth might be overrated in the playoffs but *quality* depth is still very valuable.

If Bron beat them people would just say they were young and inexperienced/fake contenders like always lol

Way to build a strawman, bro. I never used the word "stacked." I just said they're better than anyone LeBron faced in the East from 2010 to 2018. You can add 2007 to that list, too.

And before you say "but the Celtics", those guys were dinosaurs.
