I assume Orlando. They have Jalen Suggs at the 2. He was on 2nd team All Defensive while shooting 39.7% from three. Seems a better option for them.
At first I thought they may want to get off Jonathan Isaac because he is always injured, but he played 58 games last season to Herro's 42 games (Herro averages under 57 games a season now after 5 seasons).
Not sure they would be clamboring for what Herro provides over the depth and good contracts they'd be giving out.
That said, yes please.

Herro to Orlando sounds like a good idea but when you really look a little deeper into things they really have no need to make a trade for him when they have cap space to sign a free agent and retain there assets for something much bigger. Orlando has already been rumored to wanting to sign D'Angelo Russell or Malik Monk.

But why get those guys when you can have Boy Wonder who’s in the same tier or even higher than Luka Trae and Booker?

Orlando has the cap space to sign a scorer in FA and keep all of these guys, this trade doesn't make much sense for them.

If anything it's the Heat who would be sending the picks in the Herro/Orlando deal

Tyler Herro joining fellow Jeff Schwartz client in Detroit Cade Cunningham is one of the very limited options that could make sense. They would probably much rather prefer Herro over LaVine due to age. As mentioned a few weeks back someone like Beef Stew could be a nice addition.

Mia
Unless Mia also plans to trade Rozier, having him and Anthony is redundant
And I cannot see Mia trading for Isaac who id set the over/under of games played to 55 for next year

I’d assume one of Terry or Cole would be the 6 man and likely a 6MOY candidate
Isaac would be a project for a year that I could definitely see us taking a flyer on

The problem is that ya'll are expecting him to be a star in this league. However, he does NOT earn star money, and he does NOT have a star-level contract. At 27m per season, Herro was the 52nd paid highest player in the NBA.
He's a 3rd/4th option on a true contender. Just take a look at how much most 3rd and 4th options on contenders are making nowadays. I.e. MPJ on Denver earns 34m - which is even higher than Bam. 3rd option Kristapz Porzingis earns 36m. 3rd option Kris Middleton earns 29m. You get the point.
Let's stop with these Herro is overpaid posts. He's a 24 year old who averages 20ppg on 44/39/90 shooting splits. He clearly has some holes in his game (defence and shot selection being a few of them) but his youth is why he is earning a slight premium. If Herro does not improve at all (which is unlikely) he will earn identical money with his next contract.
And before people take my out of context - I'm not saying we shouldn't trade him for a better fit / player. I'm just saying the narrative of Herro being on an 'absurd' contract is simply not true.
Let me ask you this... does a negative on the defensive end but a high-volume average at best NBA efficiency say 30 mil a year to you? Because that's what you're getting out of Herro and what's even worse about that, he's a very good high volume 3pt shooter, so to possibly be at best being an average NBA efficiency player should tell you his offensive game is lacking a bunch.
Gabe Vincent, who is better on defense shot a little worse than Herro while in Miami but he didn't get the shot attempts like Herro has gotten and that player was let go because he wasn't worth 11 mil a year while Herro is worth 30? I think both Herro and Vincent were helped greatly by Spoelstra.
27m for a player of Herro's caliber and potential is worth it, imo. Yes he's one-dimensional at this time, and yes, his shot selection and decision making needs refinement. But that's the price you pay for a guy that won ROY at age 22.
Some called him a gloried Jordan Clarkson. Others say he's a CJ McCollum-lite. Clarkson is 7 years older than and earns 3.5m less than Herro. CJ is 8 years older and learns 10m more than Herro.
Herro may be closer to Clarkson than to McCollum at this point, and he earns a slight premium (3.5m more) due to his youth and potential.
Like you said, if his shot profile can be fixed then he'll improve substantially. If he can become an average defender then he'll improve substantially. Both are 'ifs' but that's the price you pay for the 'ifs'. If it pans out, Herro will be great value for his contract. If it doesn't pan out, then we lost a slight premium in the Tyler Herro investment. However, his next contract will renew for about the same as he's making now.
This is 2024 lol. 3rd/4th options earn 25m+.

How about don't pay those prices for any of those players? I don't care what the price is for those players, I'd rather have a max player that's efficient than 2 mid-level guys like any 2 of the 3 of Herro, Rozier or Robinson.

Herro's problem is consistency. Inconsistent as a mother. Thats what separates the top tier players from the rest.

If the Heat move Butler to wherever they could easily probably get Towns (picks/Rozier/ or Herro, Jovic or JJJ) who fits skill/size/age wise is as good as you will get next to Bam. Towns/Bam is a elite combo. Even if they don't move Butler there is probably a package there.
