Yea, it was bad, DWhite just faltered with his confidence and let’s be honest, Steph gave him PTSD by the end of the series.

Luckily, in 2024 DWhite got that swagga back! He’s just a different dude mentally, and we’re setting up for a big DWhite redemption series, I think.

I think we lost that series because
1. Rob hurt his knee in March and still was +30 over the series on one leg.
2. JT just had such a bad shooting series from two point range.
3. Insane turnover games from Marcus and JB and JT.
4. We had major depth problems. Six roster spots went to Stauskus, Nesmith, Kornet, Hauser, Fitts, & Morgan. Who were not able to provide 1 competitive Finals minute between them. And our main bench pieces were PP, Theis, DWhite and Grant. 2024 DWhite is a way different better player than 2022 and Grant Williams averaged 4pts/2rebs in the series.

If Rob could been healthy and played 40 minutes a game, we’d have won the series even with all that. Rob was such a beast, even on one leg.

The offense and spacing was the main thing, but Udoka's complete lack of defensive adjustments on Stephen Curry was simply awful.

Was actually looking at the numbers on that series and White was an extreme negative on the court that series.

Game 6: -26

That is absurd.

So I took a trip over to the Mavs board. They're upset at our "arrogance" and seem to think nobody is giving them a chance. I think this mainly stems from we have a more active board so they're reading 40 pages of it and find us "insufferable" compared to 6 pages of it. Are they only reading our board and not the actual media? lol. Everyone is giving a love fest to Luka and the Mavs and not the team that won 64 games. They're the favorites almost everywhere, except Vegas. Also several mentions of us getting a favorable whistle like they just don't even watch Luka whine to the refs the entire game and get calls from it? I mean, he is literally the worst in the entire league at complaining to officials. We don't shoot a ton of free throws either, we just don't foul a lot and played a team who did (an entire season's worth of data against all 29 other teams not just that they foul Celtics players a lot).

I know I personally only started touting our team on here as favorites once I got tired or reading about how we stand no chance. If that makes us unbearable then so be it. Stay on your own board as I will now be doing as well lol

To be fair to White, our best players +/- numbers for the games we lost were so bad. Tatum was -36 in one game. -13 in game 5 which was a very winnable game for us til we collapsed in the 4th. Offensively we were just in all sorts of hell. Don’t think we will lose this series with our offense like we did that one.

Here in Vienna, Austria the match is at 2.30 am, but it probably won't start till 2.45 am. I usually watch these kind of games, and then fall sleep - and as I am working from home, I can take a nap in the afternoon when I find some time, and it usually pays.

But my parents have been visiting us for the last few weeks, and tomorrow morning they have a flight to catch, so I gotta take them to the airport. We'll leave the house at 5.30 am, so I must sleep early in the evening until 2.30 am. But I'm pretty sure I will not be able to get any sleep tonight. Tomorrow me will hate me for this, but I simply cannot miss this game.

It’s as confident and locked in as I’ve ever seen him. We have been extremely superior to all our opponents so far so it’s hard to give him TOO much credit, but this is the best moment of his career IMO. Hopefully he has turned a corner as a coach. Beating Spo and sweeping Carlisle probably gave him a lot of confidence.
