I have believed in this team from the start. I have never wavered in my belief in this team the whole year (just go look at the "How much do you trust this team?" thread). The Celtics haven't skipped steps this season to date including the playoffs. They are right in the place where everyone expected them to be right now. The Celtics are the best team in the NBA this season by far. Just one thing left to do.

F*ck it. I'm staying up. Suddenly, a lot of questions:

Will Tatum be his most confident self? Will his 3-point shot be on? Will he be aggressive enough? Will he refrain from complaining to the refs?

What form will Kristaps have? Will the team system resent from it?

Are we gonna be outplayed on the boards?

Will PJ and DJJ be on? I expect the Mavs to be more Finals ready for the first half of Game 1 than us. It is what it is.

Will White get back to his best form?

Will adjustments be needed? Will Joe be up to it? What did Guardiola tell him? Will coaches play a decisive role in the outcome of the series?

I get the feeling Jrue will have a very good series and we'll win thanks in part to him. Cs taking game 1.

It's not a popular opinion, but I think we have the best player in this series. He just has to play like it. And even if he's not on the same level as Luka on offense, he gives it his all on the other end, which should matter.

Anyway, however you view Tatum v. Luka, Cs have 6 of the top 8 players in this series. Make that count, Cs, by playing the right way as a team on both ends. I don't think we've seen our best yet this entire playoffs but we've done enough to get here. Time to hit that next gear(s).

You don't have to win it for Bill, Tommy, or all the legends that have gone on the quest to 18. You just have to win it for me lol.

You're not alone. I absolutely agree. Those of us who hold this opinion value defence and intangibles and not just shot making. Jayson Tatum is on track to be an all time great. The writing has been on the wall.

Paul Pierce really should have gotten the respect.

Give him Tatums supporting cast in his prime and it’s over for the league. Wrecks havoc en route to 3+ titles.

Poor guy didn’t even have glorified Dion Waiters, Antoine Walker, since like…. 03?? IIRC.
