Missi tops out as Capela. Just take him from Atlanta as a salary dump. They might attach a 2nd rounder too.

Capela is also 30 and dependent on his athleticism. If you want someone like edey just sign jv with the mle

I’ll pass on both lol

The bigs are tough in this draft. All have holes. I think if Edey is there, they take him, even with his likely biggest weakness which is defending at the NBA level. The shot is also something that will need to happen for him to project better. Who knows, maybe they try to trade up from 19 and try and get a guy like Mccain. Kings/Raps could do something.

I’m thinking Filipowski is the type of player Darko would want at the C position. Good passer + 3 point shot.

Hoping mccain and filipowski go before 19. Low ceiling roll players who won't be creating anything or defending at a high level. The two most boring prospects in our range imo.

Take Edey at 19

Trade Poeltl

Start Kelly

See what they have in Edey as a backup to begin the year

Or you can start Jakob
Sub Edey
Play Kelly at the back-up 4
Finish with Kelly at the 5 if need be

Kelly starting is a mess. They can roll with Poeltl/Edey next season just fine. Olynyk better suited to be a 4 anyways. Defense stinks.

No clue what 19 will bring, maybe Holmes, but am calling it now, Raps are picking Jonathan Mogbo to kick off day 2.

I think Ware will be the best of the Bigs. I hope he's available 19.

Every time I see '5 star recruit' it makes me wonder who the 3 star, 2 star or 1 star recruits are.

I like Holmes at #31. I'd like another pick in the late 30s to take Mogbo as well.

I think he goes to Memphis, unless they manage to trade up to take Clinghan.

I like Edey's mindset cause you know he's going to work his butt off, but I'm not seeing the fit with Edey here. Are we playing post out now or what?

His biggest strength is scoring in the post (+ rebounding) and if we aren't featuring that on offense what's the point? He's still going to get hunted by guards on switches on D or taken advantage of in drop coverage. Clogs up the lane for Scottie and RJ. It's like JV, hes a bucket in the post but a - on D, how many teams are playing like that now?

I would be down with keeping Poeltl if we could land Edey at #19. However, I just can't see Edey slipping past Miami.

My fingers will be crossed that Carter drops to Miami and then the Lakers will likely take Ware, leaving Edey to us. Or at least Filipowski/Missi, if I'm wrong and Edey goes lottery.

With Poeltl and Edey, we'd be pretty much set at C for the next four years. Plus, since they play the same way, they'd be interchangable. Either would fit the same with the starters. Of course, the other four starters would all have to be good 3 point shooters.

Yeah, but we are playing like that now with Poeltl. Are we going to scrap playing that way and try to land Ware so that we can play 5 out?

Plus, Edey might still develop a 3. I said it before, Brook Lopez took 7 years before he even started shooting 3s, and look at him now.

We can’t really close the game with either of them. Poeltl because of bad FT shooting and Edey because he’ll get torched on defence.

With Poeltl we aren't featuring him in the post, he gets a bunch of garbage buckets + hes a better defender/passer. I'm just saying with Edey post scoring is his biggest strength so you'd have to be planning on featuring him on that end to make up for the defense.

Lopez is what 1 of 1 in that regard? i guess marc Gasol as well. That's tough to project him becoming some high volume 3pt shooting center. Maybe he gets to the JV "Summer 3  " 1 maybe 2 attempts a game who knows
