I’m not sure KAT has more athleticism than Domas, and adding a 5 really cleaned up Minnesota (albeit Gobert) defensively. Still, not sure about it. But that’s defensively, not sure someone like Missi with little outside O helps Domas or Fox (apparently Edey was showing range at the combine)
I still wouldn't trust Edey's shooting. His size and length is unquestionable though and would help out a lot on the inside, but if you're looking for someone to play minutes with Sabonis, I don't see it. Not that he would get minutes right away or anything, the plan could be to keep Len around while Edey learns. Sabonis would have to be the 4. IMO you need to look for someone that can play the 4 alongside Domas while also playing the backup 5.
Ware is someone that could legitimately play alongside Sabonis right away given his athletic ability and defensive profile. He is athletic enough to go up against backup 4s IMO and can play in a faster pace. I've been trying to watch more on his dribbling etc and I've been impressed with playmaking, or rather just making a good read and hitting the cutter, or open man.
It's the reason he has jumped to my #1 for the Kings. Lock me in as someone who highly doubts he is available though. I think at absolute worst Memphis gets him at #9 and IMO he should go a lot higher than that, in fact, I will wager a decent penny he will be better than Sarr.
Honestly, he is the perfect fit for Sabonis.
The only team that wouldn't be taking him in the lottery and probably still should is Houston.
Atlanta (as I mentioned I think he is better than Sarr), Wizards, Spurs x 2 (next to Wemby would be a nightmare for oppo teams), Detroit, Charlotte, Portland x 2, Memphis, Utah, Chicago, OKC and Sacramento would all be perfect fits for him.
