Spurs 8 - Tidjane Salaun (best friends with Wemby)
Memphis 9 - Devin Carter (Dad: Anthony Carter is an assistant coach)
OKC 12 - Cody Williams (brothers united)
Sacramento 13 - Jared McCain (hometown boy)
Phi 16 - Yves Missi (from same hometown as Embiid)
LA 17 - Bronny James (Lebron's son)
Toronto 19 - Zach Edey (hometown boy)
NY 24 - Ryan Dunn (CAA client like half their team)
NY 25 - Kel'el Ware (CAA client like half their team)

Personally, I think LA would trade us 17 for 31 to save some money, but I am not sure what else would be involved.

It would be logical to play out like this, but at the same time, I don’t think you can always take the most obvious guy. Like, I don’t think Bronny is a lock at 17. I think LA should trade down.

Ryan Dunn is a sick fit in NY. He wouldn't negatively affect Brunson's efficiency a ton when Brunson is cooking in ISO.

If we can come out of the draft with any of these guard-wing, guard-big, or wing-big combos I'll be happy.

Carter/McCain + Crawford/Dunn
Carter/McCain + Mogbo/Freeman
Holmes/Ware + Simpson/Shead
Holmes/Ware + Crawford/Dunn
George/de Silva + Simpson/Shead

Anyone know if we've worked out or scouted Scheiermann? He's not really on my board but I could see Masai thinking he would fit well in Darko's system with his shooting, size, IQ, and live dribble passing.

You know how fantasy sports has bracket challenges.

I think they should do a draft challenge. I think it would really interesting, In a draft like this where people's opinions vary wildly.

When the drafts lock, that's when the fun begins.

Someone in your lottery, might not even be in somesone else's first round.
Someone in your first round might be undrafted in someone else's.

Sounds like a great idea for any draft. What do you think the odds are of guessing all 60 picks correctly or even just the first round?

Worse than than perfect ncaa bracket.

But really like some drafts it's like these are top 10. Maybe 2 guys falls out and it's odd.

This draft, there's maybe 20 guys that could go in the top 10. Going by all the crazy mock drafts.

For sure. Probably the most unpredictable draft of the last 25 years. Even more unpredictable than 2013 or 2000.

I can’t believe I never checked his HLs before but he looks great lol like he just instantly became my favourite at 31 lol although I don’t think he makes it there.

I was just listening to the No Ceilings podcast and they say there are rumblings he goes late 1st. I like the way he reads the game to the point I actually might not even be mad if we took him at 19.

So far I’m liking him, Mitchell or Kolek with that 31st (in that order)…it’s kinda crazy that all 3 seem like higher bball IQ players that just lack the great physical traits but could turn out to be steals. I don’t obv mean stars or anything but I could see any of them be incredibly solid rotation players and that’s all you can ask for in the 2nd round.

No way LA takes Bronny at 17. He may very well end up there, but they'd at least try to save some money.

Furphy has an awesome basketball IQ and ultimately produced at Kansas as a freshman, has good wing size, a 1.000 combined FTr and 3PAr, great rim finishing and solid on the glass.

He's a smart basketball player. See him going from 12 to 20 latest. Really like him as far as this year's players go.

Scheierman is fun, he never lets nerves get to him. He just goes out there and plays the game and fears nothing.

Tbh I don't see the Knicks taking Dunn. Or any rookie in this draft for that matter. They've got 3 picks in this draft alone and a veteran stacked roster with guys who can very easily be packaged for a star like Jimmy Buckets. If ever there was a year for them to go all-in, this would be it.
REJECTEDBYCLARK wrote:I think Edey can be a star in the NBA. Who is going to stop him?

The pick and roll because he can't defend it.

Trading down to 24+25 with the Knicks is right there.

I really like the look of his game…I’d think there quite easily should be a team in the 20s that would rather trade into the 2nd for the cap savings.

I’d trade that 31st just to jump back in and ensure we get him. Because if I were a team in the 20s, I’d be all over getting myself a good connective piece. I’m not saying he’s Podz but I can see him being in that vein of players that just know how to play the game so they can carve out a role in your rotation. I’m really impressed by some of the reads & passes he makes especially at 6’7.5. Him & Gradey could do some damage off the bench (at least offensively lol). Decline Gary and go use the money on a wing defender instead and I think could make for a pretty good rotation of smart players that should presumably thrive in Darko’s system.
