I'm not sure what that friendly deal would be, but he should be making almost 2x as much as he's making now. I could see if it was a couple mil, but it's hard to believe he and his family would be willing to give up $15+ M/year as he neara the end of his prime years.

He's definitely not taking a team friendly deal. He's won the ring already. If you take the team for only deal, the only thing they're going to be looking to do is trade that deal in a few

The question becomes why would you pass up on generational wealth. Holiday got paid and has gotten paid. Brown has got paid and will probably get paid again. Tatum is going to get paid and will probably get paid again. So I, Derrick White, should take a team friendly deal as I come off the best performance of my career, for what? Championship rings. Chit I can go down to the pawn shop and buy an authentic NBA championship ring. Think about your family Derrick your loyalty is to them and yourself.
