If you get Giannis on board, I would at least consider it. Could extend the window. No idea why the Spurs would do that when I think they add guys like Buzelis and Carter. They can still add a vet via a trade of future picks.

I just don't like any of those three Spurs players much at all. They all seem like guys who get stats simply because they get minutes. And the two picks aren't enough to overcome it.

That said, if SA wants to add another future pick unprotected......

I agree, it’s not great.

But what if you then…

Only if we can turn 4 and 8 into Suggs and Mark Williams. Which we can't. And which the Bucks wouldn't do anyway.

Not clear to me why the first tweeter thinks he'll be a vet minimum signing. Is Orlando not interested in keeping him? Surely there's more demand than that for a 24 year old center who held his own in starting 33 games for a playoff team. Even if it's like 2/8 or something.

He isn’t the only one saying it but you’re right. I am assuming that Goga won’t resign with the Magic because he is buried on their depth chart atm. We would have to hope he would do something like Bobby did in coming here and sell him on the starting role being his in a year

Adding DeJounte brings in a starting 20ppg guard. Don't know what Clingan can do, but theoretically he replaces Brook to some extent. I'm intrigued.

The problem is that Keldon Johnson low-key sucks (classic puts up stats on a garbage team young dude). At least Vassell would give you a core guy (not a 2 but possibly a strong #3 type dude). Clingan just clogs the paint for Giannis and does nothing for your versatility on offense or defense, and Dejounte is just a worse version of prime Jrue in almost every way. Sorry, the B-grade version of the 2022 Bucks with worse coaching, worse spacing, and an older Middleton/Giannis is not a serious championship contending roster.

"Murray's worse than Jrue in almost every way". What, is he going to post a mid instead of high 40's ts% in the playoffs? If he shoots in the mid 50's on volume, we have as good or better of a chance than we did in Jrue's yrs here. As a #2 option against Boston Murray averaged 23/7/7 on a ts% of 54. That's a lot better than Jrue gave us v. Boston (or other teams) which was 21/6/6 on crappy %'es. Posted a ts% of 46 those playoffs.

They can keep #8, Johnson, and Sochan and give us Vassell instead. Re-route #4 and Graham's non-guaranteed salary to Atlanta for Murray, do the Bobby for Nance + 21 trade, then use our own picks to stash some youth on the bench.

Murray
Vassell/Pat
Middleton
Giannis
Brook/Nance

Picks 21, 23, 33

Yeah, much better. At least that's a team that's serious about winning a title this year while also having the potential to extend the window a little further out.

I think Dejounte is likely an even worse version of the Eric Bledsoe we acquired from Phoenix.

All three of those Spurs players are negative asset - Empty Stats guys...Keldon is the only one that could be a starter type player.

Now if its Vassell, Graham, Bassey, 2024 Tor 1st and 2026 unprotected 1st, im good.

I'd say they're about equal impact/talent guys. Murray would be better for this version of the Bucks, but man, he's gotten really overrated really fast. I was excited about the idea of adding him to pair with Dame when his price was more realistic, but I guess the box stats and that All-Defense 2nd team spot from 6-years ago continue to do wonders for his perception.

From what I’ve read from spurs and hawks fans, Murray isn’t even that good of a perimeter defender but more so a passing lane type of guy. And that’s when he’s trying which isn’t so often anymore. A capable defender (again, when trying) would still help but he’s not the two way guy people think he is.

He’s just a name at this point, don’t think he’s a needle mover unless he’s your 4th guy or something like that

Bucks out - Pat C, 23, 33

Bucks in - Ayo Dosumno

Bulls out - Ayo Dosumno

Bulls in - Pat C, 23, 33

I’d consider this but I’d also be a little hesitant. My man Tristen Newton could be the 33rd pick and certainly has a chance to carve out a similar type of role to Ayo.. But the established guy could be the difference in a late title run this season. Yay or nay?

Spurs do it to get off the bad Johnson and Graham contracts. Then they flip Dame for twice as much.

Knowing Bulls are open for business after the Caruso trade, I think we should try to get this done without one of those picks.

Bulls just opened a spot for Ayo. However, if they're open for business, get Coby White, not that softy Ayo.

Dame might the best guy we ever see the Bucks trade for. Just get some dudes who can move their feet around our three scorers.

Coby would be awesome. Seems like a decent fit next to Giddey, though. Not sure we could cobble together an enticing enough offer.
