Lol yeah he's great at everything the heat is bad at. Rebounding, length, interior scoring, drawing fouls. Just brings a whole new dimension to the team if they picked him. Plus he'd definitely be the typical, heat fans hate the pick type pick lol

Seeing quite the buzz on here for him. Haven't seen much hate among heat fans tbh

Heat fans on reddit and Twitter hate em. Idk what Facebook heat fans want, I avoid those guys for a reason lol

Damn haven't seen that. He's def a player that will always be a lightning rod attracting attention. Haven't seen the hate on twitter, but I haven't been looking for much of it.

Edey will be a wild ride regardless. And it will start well before his NBA season. Watch the knee jerk reactions both ways to his Olympic play with Canada this summer

Just under a week til the draft. I'm pretty confident that the Heat will have some good options available to them at 15. If Miami ends up with any of the below guys (who all should be in that range), I'm optimistic:

GUARD:

Isaiah Collier (PG) - confirmed Heat workout
Devin Carter (combo guard) - confirmed Heat workout
Bub Carrington (PG)

WING:

Ron Holland (not likely available) - confirmed Heat workout
Pacome Dadiet - confirmed Heat workout
Jaylon Tyson - confirmed Heat workout
Tristan Da Silva (combo forward)

BIG:

Daron Holmes (combo big)
Zach Edey - confirmed Heat workout
Kel'el Ware - confirmed Heat workout

I can already see him in a Heat uniform. Pat will let Spo worry about what to do with him.

Yeah he's going to figure it out rather quickly that's it's going to be another Whiteside/Yurtseven situation that both Bam and Edey with Butler can't share the floor together. We are going to be exchanging a bunch of 2's for the other teams 3's.

I will say this. Zach Edey is 1000% percent a Pat Riley guy. I feel like the decision will be made as a whole and Spo has a lot more input on the pick this year. Spo has been so reluctant to rely on double bigs. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks

He's going to have to get some playing time first. I think last time out he averaged like 3 minutes a game with Kelly Olynyk and Dwight Powell dominating the big man minutes.

I'm sure that dynamic will change now. But even if he's riding pine, the reactions will still be crazy based on anything he does or doesn't do. Just the reality of a lightning rod

Unless Bam suddenly becomes a sniper, it would be a cluster in the paint with Bam, Edey, and Jimmy all in the game at the same time. And our defense would have to change.

Bam has a hard time hitting mid range shots consistently and I love Bam. A sniper hahahaha omg we are in for it if we draft Edey. He'll be a 12-14 min backup.

I have day dreams of Edey getting post position against a legit center who he outweighs by 50 lbs and has 5 inches on in height and wingspan, and just wrecking him.

Our team will be on a five minute non-scoring tear that we have patented, and Spo will have a look of absolute disgust as he signals for Edey to come in. Edey scores a quick 10 points and grabs 5 rebounds in 5 minutes. Spo then checks him out to go small ball again. Other team rolls us again as we have zero true scorers to generate offense.

Tis our fate.

Air is fresher up there too. Better oxygen flow, leading to increased stamina.

Feels like Edey and Collier are going to be our picks at 15 and 16. Our two biggest needs addressed in one draft. Exciting.

I'm starting real quiet about who I want. If dr be Hao with Edey. I feel like our board gets watched so keeping it quiet.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno

The moves yesterday could shake up the draft picks in front of us slightly. Most mocks had Sacramento taking a guard at 13 with the assumption that Monk was gonna leave them as a free agent. With him resigning, I could see them turning to a forward instead (Da Silva, Kyshawn George, or Holland?). OKC added another guard rotational piece with Caruso as well and the Bulls probably won't need someone like Topic with Giddey around. There could be some real strong guard options available for us if we go that way.

Good options will be available at #15, Multiple.

We need to get a second pick at that range, get a big + guard combo and fire off a stealth rebuild.
