Sorry to make a thread just for this but once it is answered, we can delete it.
Is it possible to do the following
Sign OG 5/200
Sign Ihart 4/100
Trade Bog, Mitch + fillers for PG13 (if he opts)
Extend Brunson, Randle and PG13 (2 years 80)
This line up is contending for atleast 2-3 years
Brunson
PG13
OG
Randle
IHart
Thank you

Re: Cap question
No, getting a player in sign and trade hard caps team to first apron. 178$ mil, if you do the math with just 7-8 players the Knicks are above it.
If he opts in, Knicks have to trade more than 100% salary otherwise they will be hardcapped. On the other hand clippers can't accept more than 100% because they are hardcapped. He makes 49$, Knicks would have to trade more than 49$ million outgoing salary and clippers can't accept more than 49$.
There are convoluted ways of possibly doing it that uses 3rd 4th teams as salary dumps.
Also ihart max salary with Knicks is 4 year $72ish.
Also brunson max extension is 140% of current salary so about 33ish mil.

Ok, so if he opts in, it is indeed possible, but we would need a 3rd or 4th team to make the numbers work. Ihart Max is a good deal if he accepts it. Fingers crossed. That is a contending team if we can only send out Mitch/Bogs/Duece and few picks for PG13.
