Bring back the Boston/New York rivalry!

this was not the move to make if they wanted to do that lol
I think it was a good move to counter the Celtics but they need more and they lost their flexibility to do more unless they trade Randle.
OG, Bridges and Hart on Tatum/Brown is as good as you are going to get.

It looks like what happened here is Brklyn is essentially swapping Phoenix's draft to Houston in exchange for their own draft back so that they can tank properly.
So Houston is giving up the right to swap their pick with Brk in 2025 but getting the right to swap their own with Phoenix in 2025. They are giving up the Brk 2026 pick but getting back the Phoenix 2027 pick.
They are also getting the more favorable of Dallas/Phoenix in 2029 as well as the right to swap their pick with the less favorable of the two. Basically, they'll have the best 2 of their own, Dallas and Phoenix in 2029.
They also retained the right to swap their own with BRK in 2027.

Celtics need another wing to throw at the Knicks or you can't rest on your laurels as a Champion,

Yeah, I wonder if the Bridges trade influences the pick. With Anunoby, Bridges, Hart the Knicks have some nice depth and the Celtics could use an extra player off the bench (maybe Walsh?). Scheierman might be one of the most "ready" players that could be available at 30.

Are they basically betting on Phoenix falling apart and Brooklyn improving? The Durant rumors make sense since it makes Phoenix worse short term, making the picks extra enticing to Phoenix.
Does this just give undo the prior trades? When the smoke clears will someone have gotten something for nothing?
Phoenix gets their picks back but still lost Bridges.
Nets get their pick backs and basically trade Durant for Harden and Bridges (subsequently for Simmons and Knicks picks.)
Houston trades Harden for Durant.
So...Nets win with free Knicks picks? Suns lose?
Irving for Porzingis is in there somewhere too.
