We already have a Top 6, and a Top 8.
Whomever we Draft, isn't going to crack that.
We essentially are looking for Role Players, and Players down-the-road.
How big do y'all think our Championship Window is?

I heard the same, from a good sauce, Ryen Gomes.

-Rumors from B Robb that there's a good chance we'll trade out of the 1st round
So..if we need someone who can play some mins at the 5 (preferably an older prospect age 22+ who's more ready to contribute as a rookie) yet there's a good chance he will still be available in like the 31-45 range.
It's Enrique time!!
Oh and we worked him out ahead of the draft this year - and last year too.
Get him, Brad.
Other bigs we could target in that range: Oso Ighodaro, Adem Bona, PJ Hall (we didn't work any of them out though..)
He’s my guy - somewhere 30-40 or so. Let’s get a big athlete with a decent skill package they can develop.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics traded down and ended up with 3 picks in the 2nd round. Pretty inevitable that Hauser will be gone after next year and Celtics need to find a replacement.
Comcast talking Hauser’s market range is $12-15 million per year (which I agree with) and Celtics can’t pay that. Celtics will be taking a wing in the 2nd round

Re: 2024 NBA Draft Thread, part 2 – (June 26 & 27)
With respect to Karalis, I disagree. There will be someone there worth that kind of money. Otherwise, why do we have a draft and pay them guaranteed money? Teams should just refuse to participate if that's the case. Or in other words, the good teams opt out, and the rest line up to overpay. Taking risk is the whole point of a draft, outside of maybe a few players each year.
The deal is... the risk is... that there is a player there that will be worth MORE than that kind of money. If Brad doesn't think so, then yeah, by all means trade out. But between 30 and 58 there's going to be a player(s) that a year from now we'll all be clamoring for, and the team(s) that get him(them) are not going to give them up.
I'm fine with waiting through 29 picks to see what call Brad makes. Could be wrong, but I'm banking that they'll make the pick. The Celtics worked out a lot of players and I think one of 'em will ring the bell tonight for the C's.

Seems like POR needs #30 now after trading 14 & Brogdon for Avdija

This is so wrong. KP will miss a ton of time and Al won't even play in back to back all while being old. Too many people here want to Fix the Roof after it starts leaking. Doesn't anyone think that we may actually not be healthy as a possibility??? There are definitely players in RD1who can step into the rotation THIS season if needed. No one draft in RD2 will even get that chance.
Imagine come playoffs next season and both Al and KP are out?? that can definitely happen.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

I’d love to trade 30 and 54 for their two high seconds, dunno if the blazers would pull the trigger though

The Celtics potentially could pay Hauser a lot more. We have his Bird Rights.
Hopefully Brad Stevens makes the right deal, and Hauser is back.

The right deal for the Celtics is about 50% below Hauser’s market value. Celtics could sign him and trade him at the Feb deadline. Doubt the Celtics keep him.

Wow, quite a bit of pre-draft action already. Anunoby signed too.
Brad holds his cards close to his chest. Somethin' good is going to happen, I feel it in me bomes.

The draft is a highlight for many teams in the NBA, and exciting.
Boston is one of those teams where it doesn’t matter.

I like Ryan Dunn and Freeman in that range.

Totally agree 100%. There won't be a hometown discount. At the end of the day it's a business and this may be his biggest contract he gets. He's gonna hit the gym this summer and bet on himself this season. I give those guys credit.
At the end of the day the C's can say they had a huge part in his career.

One of Pritchard or Hauser will be playing their last year in Boston. Just doesn’t make sense to keep both unless you plan on letting DWhite go, which I doubt
