Let us remember the Bulls traded TWO top 10 picks for Vuc and now want to dump him and still owe SA a first while trying to rebuild. And you have confidence in future moves? Situation looks pretty dead end to me.

No way they are doing that. But some GM's are stupid. That would be like the Spurs trading Wemby for Dame Lillard.
Not quite.

I am not going to wreck them for the actual trades, bc if you have a healthy Lonzo everyone probably looks at the last 3 yrs a bit differently.

I will wreck them for not being willing to get off the dead end bus, though. Great that they finally see it isn't going to work, but it's about 12 months later than everyone else realized that, which is unacceptable.

How low we talking? I could be convinced to take a flyer on Wiseman if the price is right (i.e. $5m/year or less)

Zach catching Covid post trade-deadline really hurt us in year one of that trade.

Vuc just being bad at basketball as hurt us every year since.

It has to be at the minimum. And at the minimum, it might be worth seeing if staring at the abyss brings out a hunger that hasn’t yet been evident in his game. He still has tons of talent, but it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t care enough to put in the work and learn.

If a slightly higher than minimum deal let's us add Team Options on future years it'd be a compromise I'd be willing to make. like 3 years for $15 total with team options on years 2 and 3.

Geez, the Sun really **** up their roster didn't they.

They had a young up and coming roster in Booker, Ayton, Cam Johnson and Bridges.

If they had picked Haliburton instead of Jalen Smith at #10 in 2020 they would have been set.

I'd absolutely buy low on a 23yo center to backup Vucevic, but I'm sure many teams would also.

I like that Golden State appear to not be:

1. overly nostalgic with Klay

2. Attached to this idea that "you have to get value for someone"

Sometime simply letting a player go is what's best.

Hopefully AK is taking notes in regards to DeRozan.

We don't have to re-sign DeRozan out of some perception that we can then trade him to get some sort of value out of him.

We don't even have to sign and trade him if there's no way to do so without going into the tax.

Don't hurt our team out of some false sense of feeling you HAVE to do something, and especially not out of some false sense of price

OG Anunoby gets essentially the same deal as Zach after putting up 14/4/3 with NY. Fantastic defender obviously.

Zachs got 3/138 left on his deal. Obviously not ideal. But I have a hard time believing there will be no market for him midseason if he returns to his 25ppg level. The contracts around the league are only going to keep rising.

I love OG and he will help the Knicks. His 3pt shot is a little more iffy than I orginally thought after watching him last season.

I wish akme had this mentality when vuc became a free agent. :nonono:

2 firsts and 2 seconds for Deni on a value deal. I think the $$$ / value is impacting things bigly with the updated CBA.

Don't know if that's the best return 14th this year and another in 2029 but if the Wiz can get another 1st from Brogdon then it'll be 3 1st for Deni which is decent value.
