So much for PG to the Warriors.

Sign&Trades get pretty complicated and I'm not sure the Warriors can do it.

means golden state is gonna have to find another plan if they want to use that cp3 contract to land a player...maybe ol' zachary lavine ain't lookin so shabby right now...

Still looking shabby...

Well not really. CP3 for Zach would be a low-cost talent-grab for GSW. Problem is the (luxury) toll is just so expensive, and then they'd be letting Klay walk.

Yeah, I don't see that anymore.

Random hunch: Warriors will pursue overpaying for Lauri. The old Ainge 4+2 swaps unprotected FRP package. If Ainge takes Wiggins, I can see GS agreeing to it. Lauri is such a low salary to trade, Utah's under the cap, so they can send a TPE. Then GS can maneuver a zero-asset guy like Zach, if he actually requires no picks and just a cap dump. Maybe they can get Craig too, for the bench. Curry-Zach-Kuminga-Lauri-Draymond reclaims their 3P identity. Or maybe they pursue another guy with the expiring CP3 money (DFS, Cam Johnson, etc.). Curry's last window to contend in the Bay.

Personally I think sending these decade FRP deals is a backfire waiting to happen, but I can see the rationale for a GM/coach who probably can sell ownership on the idea, and don't exactly plan to stick around after the window closes and it implodes.

WT saying Klay is gone and now PG is a no go for the Dubs.

Could see DDR to the Clipps and Zach to the Dubs for CP3 and Moody. I’d try to give them Vuc as well or get back TJD. Need some type of asset.

wouldn't mind trying to steal wagner from the magic in free agency. i think their plan is to offer him the room MLE, which is $8.1 million, so there's an opening to outbid them

Trying to attach Vuc seems like a good way to ruin any deal for Zach.

Woj reported Dubs and Klay are parting ways. PG is taking meeings with Philly, LAC, and Orl tomorrow and monday, Lebron says he'll take a paycut if LAL sign JV, Klay, or Harden. Time to buckle up boys, its about to get crazy! I definitely think Zach and Demar are getting traded by Wed

So PG and Klay out for Dubs.

What do they do now?

Zach has to be in play. No way they trade Steph or let his last year suck.

I think PG is goin to Orl. I think those rumors with harden bad mouthing Morey to PG might lead him away from Philly. He also might just end back up with the Clips and be using all the cap space teams as leverage.

Pretty sure in order for the Warriors to get Zach they need to include CP3's contract, which the Warriors need to make a decision on today, if they decide to decline the option I think Zach is out for the Warriors.

I think PG is either going back to LA or heading to Orlando, I think Morey stuffing around Harden is going to play a factor.

Klay I think goes to Dallas, he'll surely notice they were just in the Finals, Klay running around off screens getting passes from Luka and Kyrie would be very good.

KCP I think either goes to Philly or Orlando, both have capspace and are in need of shooting and quality guard play, plus I think he gets overpaid.

Not sure about DDR, he's friends with PG so maybe he follows him somewhere, otherwise I see him as a backup option for Philly, Clippers would have to be S&T.

Zach will be a "dang, we missed out on everyone" option for either Orlando or Philly, or dark horse traded to the Clippers in a PG S&T to his desired team.

After declining Joe Ingles option, the Magic have 47m in capspace, they can absorb Zach straight up, or add minimal contracts (Isaac, Jett  ) and still retain capspace to further improve their team.

Now that Klay and PG are ruled out for GSW, doesnt Lavine become their best option? Who else is available for them to turn to? Even a guy a couple steps below like THJ is gone. The pickings are getting slim for them quickly and they have the pieces for Lavine, I’ll take CP3, Moody, a pick and go full tank.

As I mentioned above, the Warriors need to decide whether or not to decline CP3's option on his contract on the 30th, if they decline it, I think you can rule them out as a LaVine suitor.

I thought I read that CP3 agreed to extend that deadline until Monday?

CP3 did the warriors a favor and extended the deadline to the 30th.

Warriors attempted to go for PG13 and that cannot that did not work anymore to my little cap knowledge.

I will assume they will try to get Lavine as they need a Klay Thompson replacement. Best case for Zach the player is the dubs.

The player I'm most curious about out of this whole thing that isn't talk about is Mitchell.

My bad, it's the 30th in Australia, so the Warriors have until tomorrow but if they decline his option then a trade path to GSW for Zach is unlikely.

Mitchell as in Donovan Mitchell? Word is he's looking for an extension from the Cavs.

Time to talk your own FAs has been going for a while a lot other good players have signed their deals. I'm assuming since no deal has came about something else is happening or waiting to happen.

Donovan Mitchell also isn't a FA, he's still under contract for this season and next (next year is a player option).
