Re: ihart appreciation thread
He should obviously take the money and I wish him all the best unless he is playing us. He is still playing for a good young team so I understand the choice.
Let's hope Mitch can have the best season of his career health wise. I do agree that his total impact is higher when he is healthy.

Re: ihart appreciation thread
I didn't know what to expect when he arrived. I heard he was an advanced metrics darling. People were calling him Jokic-lite. First season was a little rough and fans turned on him for a bit(iShart). There were rumors that he was unhappy with his role but he won me over with his defense, rebounding and effort. He and Mitch dominated the Cleveland series. He stepped up this year in the regular season when needed but unfortunately the team fell short.
I was hoping he could be retained but I completely understand why he would leave. There was an opportunity to play with a young contending team and get paid a lot of money while doing it. I wanted to see his development as a player since I never felt we saw his full potential. Best of luck to him.

Hartenstein passing was so good for us. It really helped the way our roster is constructed. Was probably our 2nd best playmaker for others. Will be sorely missed if we don't find someone with the similar skill.
have we ever even tried to ask Mitch to attempt one?

He earned what we paid him and more, so I respect that. Wish him the best. Maybe we'll meet in the finals. That would be fun. (as long as we win).

Knicks aren't getting out of the first round with their crappy center rotation

nice knowing you IHart.
You went from an ok center to The OKCenter. good for you.
I'll always remember that chest bump you and Precious shared.

agreed i'm just saying it wasn't some bargain contract at the time. we paid him fair value i think. he clearly outplayed his contract though - at least in year 2.

This is what really upsets me about this. Dude was an excellent passer out of the high post. That kind of skill is hard to find on the open market from big men.

I been saying this but people just want to put random at center and give Joel Embiid nights off on defense.
If Mitch was healthy, we wouldn’t be having this discussion even with him not being versatile.
