Melton, Reaves would have been a beautiful fit at guard..

Fit would be fine, but the issue is the talent level

You guys want Lavine or Demar at this point?

Demar: MLE deal or its Dlo for him?
Lavine: Dlo, Vincent, JHS, Reddish/Hayes/Hayes and we get back a 1st

Lavine deal is a bigger risk, but the upside is probably higher and now we have a 1st to move in another deal

Lebron has to take like a 20m paycut for this to even be possible and not even sure if we have much of mle to use since we would be hard capped at first apron around 179

Would then have to look for cheap options such as

Duop Reath, Walker Kessler, Nick Richards, Dayron Sharpe

Chicago isn't giving a 1st to move LaVine. The Bulls are rebuilding. Why would they use a valuable asset to move a bad salary?

DeMar would be fine.
DeMar for DLo.

No way does Chicago offer an FRP in LaVine trade.
You might get Dalen Terry of lucky.

I’d much rather Gary Trent Jr for the MLE. Also a klutch client and quite possibly better than Klay on his last legs.

Wow, didn't know Lavine was averaging $46M over the next 3 years. Dirk in his 21-year career has made less money than this negative impact bum by age 32 - crazy stuff

Just what the rumors are

I think something like Terry or 1-2 2nds would be fine as well

Trade Reddish, future 1st, 1-2 2nds/Terry, and a swap? for Kessler? Or something similar but less in value for Richards, Sahrpe, Reath

Reaves, Lavine, Vando, Lebron, AD
Knecht, Christie, Rui, Kessler

Then its basically Wood, Maxwell, Bronny, etc

Need to sign a backp pg or try and trade for another cheap one like Alvarado

Bron plays for about 35-40M, no use of the mle

Other option is Demar for mle

or a Demar trade (Dlo for him and some 2nds?). I can also see Rui for Demar+Terry and then we need to swing Dlo and 2nd/1st for a wing like DFS, Cam Johnson, etc

Use MLE on GTJ

Get a backup C with 1st other assets (JHS, 1sts, 2nds, swaps, etc)

Reaves, GTJ, DFS/Cam Johnson, Lebron, AD
Vincent, Christie, Knecht, Demar, Backup C

The best available guy is Bridges, but seems like they don't wanna be near him. Which is weird when team's idol is Kobe Bryant

When was the last young guy that Pelinka didn't overpay? Can't include Reaves because Pelinka would have overpaid if he could.

Seems like DeMar is going to Lakers..

Lakers get DeMar
Nets get DLo
Bulls get ???

Would have definitely liked CamJ over DeMar..

That would be unfortunate for LA.

Kinda crazy that nothing is done yet

I wouldn't be surprised if we blow this one too

More guys going off the board

We NEED to trade for a C, no real options left in FA

I think that should be the 1st priority. Literally lost multiple games due to having no backup big. That lead in game 5 evaporated when AD got hurt and we had no size. Jokic went to work then.

Only FA worth even considering for the MLE besides Demar is GTJ. I don't see Bridges as something we explore. He also may be overrated, had 1 solid season, but hard to gauge since he got suspended just as he was getting better

If we could sign Demar for the MLE and use JHS, Hayes, 2029 1st, and some 2nds/pick swap for Kessler then

Dlo, Reaves, Vando, Bron, AD
Vincent, Knecht, Christie, Demar, Rui, Kessler

A lot of guys who will want minutes....

Pretty crazy Golden State added Melton, Hield and SlowMo while the Lakers added absolutely nobody but Delonte West's nephew.

Bron reallllllly needs to gtfo of LA. Jeanie and Rob are either intentionally sabotaging him so he doesn’t catch Kobe in rings, or they’re the most incompetent front office tandem in professional sports history.

**** LeBron just resigned with the lakers. Sad to see him give up on winning, but it’s been a helluva run.

I think he knows it isn't gonna happen. No opportunities with teams on the cusp, he's gonna finish his career alongside his kid. It's been a long ride. It's a shame that there's symmetry in managerial incompetence on either side of his career which robs him of winning chances, but he's had a fantastic run and will likely have one last really good season for us to watch.

Yep, been a GOAT career, no doubt about it. Good call on the symmetry thing, too. Garbage FO coming in and garbage FO going out. It is really one of the aspects of his career, that trolls don't even touch. I guess to him, finishing his career with his son is the cherry on top, which good for him. That is pretty damned cool.

It's a neat storyline. And he's already ensconced among the hallowed halls of the NBA's all-time elite. He's in the GOAT conversation, clearly at least top 3, I mean, it doesn't get a lot better than that. Every thirty years or so, essentially, we get to see a GOAT-level talent dominating as he has done. There haven't been many, and it's been wild. It's a little nuts that he's been playing long enough that he is now playing with his own son, and that he's played the sons of guys he played against in his earliest seasons. That longevity is absurd, particularly with the maintenance of his ability. Pretty much he, Karl Malone and Kareem have managed that, and even Kareem wasn't doing this in his late 30s on a nightly basis.
