I think AB, Jett, and Silva are in the rotation.

Here's the theory.

Moritz and Fultz were vocal about not giving minutes to AB and Jett. Haters. Mosley decided that giving the old guard their due and letting them have first dibs was best for the culture.

Weltman said enough with this, and put Moritz in free agency timeout and told Fultz he wasn't coming back unless he took a pay cut and took a backseat to AB. Harris has no problem agreeing to this, but Fultz wouldn't. Moritz has been humbled and is coming back.

All this has now put player development back as a critical determinant of minute allocation, within reason.

Order is restored and Weltman is a hero.

This might the funniest post of the year. Step off the ledge bro.

AB and Jett are merely injury insurance at this point. They have signaled they are prioritizing wins at all costs. They dont care about rookie scale contract asset value like OKC. They dont move players anyway. We have 7+ years of evidence that they dont move anyone even if they dont play them.

I'm not believing anything else, up until Mosley plays Cole and Harris over AB and Jett and I throw my beer onto the court.

I still have questions about Jett. He may still be a year or two away from playing winning ball if at all. KCP, Harris, and AB are all really good defenders. Houstan at this point is a better shooter.

If he doesn't show something this season, maybe you don't pick up his option. I believe the Suns did that with Jalen Smith a couple of years ago.

Jett is two years away from being two years away.

He's due for another wildly successful season in Osceola.

AB would sooner get minutes at SG than he would competing for minutes against Da Silva at SF.

He went his entire rookie season without playing a single meaningful minute. That shows a huge lack of trust by the coaching staff.

I can assure you this is not the case.

It *might* be the case for Da Silva because of how brutally shot Ingles looked physically at the end of the season.

But Cole and Gary aren’t here to not play.

eyriq wrote:I'm optimistic about next season, don't get me wrong. This off-season is a vote of confidence in Paolo, Franz, and Suggs.

They will get the critical reps that will make or break our season and help their development.

I'm on record using the analogy that they are the main dish and we just need the right garnish. Well, subtracting Fultz and adding KCP is perfect.

Where I'm struggling is with this "parallel paths" strategy. It reminds me of the Golden State Warriors and their two timeline strategy. They thought they could draft in the lottery, still compete with their veteran core, and develop a new core behind the scenes. It failed miserably and they should have picked a lane.

This approach makes even less sense for Orlando. We don't have a veteran core. We're not trying to maintain a dynasty. They're all on the same f****** timeline. So if AB and Jett are not getting playing time its malpractice. It's irrational.

Remember, every front office fails. There's nobody that has a flawless track record. And if you want to understand why we fail in the future, look at how we are handling AB and Jett right now as a canary in the coal mine.

Now I'm not saying we're going to fail. I'm not even saying we're going to bench AB and Jett. I would honestly prefer AB and Jett over Cole and Gary Harris. Maybe Mosley does too.

I think, as of now, AB just moved up to a solid spot at backup PG...I'm still hoping for a trade, but as of right this minute, whether AB is a viable PG or not, he's the only one on the entire roster that could put "PG" on his trading card.

I would honestly be shocked if he spent more minutes on the Magic than he would in Osceola. There are less minutes this season for him. Nobody ever factors in Caleb Houstan and he has more of a claim for minutes than Jett does going off the rotation last season.

I would also bet a large amount of money Tristan Da Silva gets more minutes than either guy.

The day Anthony Black plays over Cole Anthony is the day Cole is moved off the team.

Cole was almost unplayable by the end of the season and into the playoffs. The trend is working against him. One dimensional, no three point shot, combo-guard level playmaking, low IQ, lack of perimeter size.

He doesn't tick any boxes for what we need. He's vulnerable.

It doesn’t matter. He was all of those things last year too and still played over Black. This year will be no different.

If I'm AB I'm asking for a trade if I'm buried at the end of the bench again. It was a joke last year they he was stuck behind fultz, it would be an even bigger joke this year to be stuck behind Cole all year.

This whole free agency was a front office flex and designed to align the culture with the goal of playing and developing AB and Jett.

It's so obvious in retrospect. Hyping up Jett, cutting veterans, giving a raise to green goblin legend Goga, giving a pay cut to Harris as a warning shot to others on the consequences of blocking AB and Jett.

Message received. AB and Jett playtime on lock.

My sauces are immaculate on this
