Sign rookies -- Belo to standard 1st rounder contract, Anton to two-way, fill two-ways. Hauser extension is last order of business. I don't mind just keeping the 15th roster spot open.

I actually like the idea of still signing Saric, even with Tillman back. I think he'd be perfect.

If there's one positional weakness on the team, I'd say that we don't really have a natural PF behind Tatum. Guys like Brown/Walsh/Hauser/Scheirerman in theory have the size to do it in small ball lineups, but that's not the best use of either of them. Horford can obviously do it in the playoffs, but between his own load management in the regular season and Porzingis being out you're going to need his time at the 5. Tillman can do it on defense, but he'd need to be next to a stretch 5 so it's not viable for him to be the backup PF when Horford or Porzingis is out and can't pair with him there.

Saric would actually be a good fit to play 10-15 minutes a night at PF when we need it. And in games with Horford and Porzingis both out, he gives us a stretch 5 option in spurts that we don't have between Tillman/Queta/Kornet. I think he can pair with Horford or Tillman in the front court. They both cover for him defensively so he opens up some extra lineup possibilities.

It's not a big role and who knows what other teams are interested. But we still have one more minimum deal to give if we want and I think he'd fit well.

My guess is minimum salary with player option for year 2.

Hoop Central not looking so bad now! If they nailed the terms, an awkward apology for ever doubting them will be forthcoming.

I was figuring 4mm a year before these other big guy signings, we'll see.

I want to slightly tweak this... I say it's one of:

1) minimum salary deal with player option for year 2

2) 2 year, $10,594,400 deal with no option on year 2 (equal to tax payers MLE)

Maybe a partial guarantee on year 2 if it's the 2nd scenario.

I can't believe what an absolute beast Brad is. Just killing it since he took over as POBO.

Heh, I'm probably a little over-exuberant with Wyc's money.

Usually deals with a player option are considered "fully guaranteed" though, so waiting to see on that (and the amount).

The Celtics currently have one open roster spots on the 15-man roster but there is a decent chance according to a league source that Boston keeps that spot open to lessen the luxury tax penalties to start the year. That may be a bit tougher to do this year from a health standpoint with Kristaps Porzingis limited for the first two months of the year but adequate depth on the big-man front should help. Additional competition for unguaranteed contracts could also be brought in during training camp.

Side note Celtics' championship reveals all other NBA locker rooms are full of chaos, cattiness and bitchy behavior.

Not only did Brad build (or complete) a juggernaut, he did it with really good dudes only.

Kudos.
