Maybe a healthy Embiid but when is he ever healthy.

They can keep doubting the Knicks and pick the Sixers over them. And then during the series act all surprised at what's happening.

Joel Embiid is almost as injury as Mitch though. He's averaged only 54 games played his whole career.

Strong 1-3, average 4-6, and the rest trash. It any team needs depths, this one does.

Unfortunately they have some really valuable firsts from the Clippers. They're a team that could pull off a trade for someone at the deadline with them.

Lol if it wasn't for an Act of God from Maxey and a bunch of royally insane eff ups from the Knicks we dust the Sixers off in 5. Yes the games were all close but it was clear who the better team was IMO. Outside of his insane game 3 Embiid was pretty average down the stretch of every single game. Knicks had a game plan for him and executed. And the injury excuse for Embiid doesn't work when we were missing our all star player, Mitch was clearly playing hurt, and Bogi got hurt in the series.

PG is a good player. He's also 34 and has a very up and down playoff history including his latest one where the Clips went out sad as hell. Maxey was great for the most part but the Knicks eventually were able to tame him in game 6 and expose his lack of in between game and inability to playmake at a high level. Embiid has yet to parlay his all time regular season play into a meaningfully dominant playoff run.

It's a good core for sure, but not anything we can't handle IMO. Especially given the fact that I think our team as currently constructed is a nightmare for PG and Maxey to deal with. On top of that Morey doesn't tend to build his rosters out in a way I, personally, think is beneficial. He tends to go after older slower shooters as his role players. He tends to abandon playmaking and all around play for specialists around his stars. I don't think PG/Embiid/Maxey has enough elite playmaking within that trio to abandon it elsewhere.
