Just for 6-7 minutes per half.

Hakeem could easily give a solid 14min/game as a back-up. Even at age 60.

And we'd be a better team for it!

I don't remember what era that was. Pre or post Melo. From early 2000s to Phil Jackson is all a horrible blur to me. Mike 'antoni years? Torture. All of it was so bad and so excruciating to watch.

The last two seasons have been glorious in comparison. 3 of the last 4 we made the playoffs. I can't bring myself to look back anymore.

Slow on defense, not a great rebounder, getting older. Can shoot/space the floor and a very good passer. Not sure he's the answer

Or the waive market 8-)

The part nobody is talking about -- Thibs single-handedly willing any rotation C to be 10x better than he would have been or ever has been elsewhere.

Thibs took 2RP Mitch to DPOY contender. He elevated Hartenstein to $30m/per levels. Thibs made Nerlens Noel look serviceable. He's made Sims look like he actually belongs in the NBA (he doesn't).

They'll find somebody to plug into Thibs rigid cookie-cutter system and 6 months from now everybody will be talking about how brilliant Leon is for finding a diamond in the rough. If I'm a big man looking for opportunity to shine, there is no better landing spot rn than Thibs' Knicks. Guaranteed minutes, crunch time, national tv, and with responsibilities limited to rebounding, rim protection, and point-blank yams. Somebody decent is coming for this job and Sims is more than capable of holding the fort until it happens.

It definitely changes strategy since a huge part of our offense was planning for offensive rebounds. I'd rather have at least one more insurance guy but my guess is that the brass doesn't like the free agent market and is looking for trades to sure up the roster.

We can certainly enter the season like this. One thing I wonder is if we'll be able to keep the whole Villanova core long term. I feel like one of Hart and Donte is excess with the new cap constraints.

Hard cap resets after the season ends. Cap is expected to bump a lot next year with the TV deal. I think we'll be ok.

It's pretty clear we're going to need to bring Precious in on a cheap deal while we pray Hukporti is the second coming of Hartenstein.

Heck here he is firing away from downtown.

that shot @ 20 seconds in

get him tf off our team

Paul Reed is about to get waived.

I know, I know, but beggers can't be choosers.

His per36 numbers are actually fairly comparable to Mitch:

13.6ppg-11.0rpg-4.4orpg-1.5spg-1.9bpg and he hit 36.8% of his 3s.

Here is Mitch for comparison:
8.1ppg-12.3rpg-6.7orpg-1.6spg-1.6bpg
