I thought Burks was an excellent 8th man for us in 2021

He wasn’t ideal as a starting point guard in 2022

And although he struggled after the trade last year he played well when his number was called in the playoffs.

I would have loved to have kept him around, especially if we end up trading Duce for a C. But he should have an opportunity to play and earn another real contract in Miami. He and Josh Richardson will make a nice combo guard pairing off the bench backing up Herro/Rozier.
