There's no such thing as a win now draft pick.

Milwaukee Bucks: Despite rumors surrounding Brook Lopez, it would come as a surprise to many around the league if the Milwaukee Bucks did in fact move on from the veteran center. The Bucks gave Lopez a big contract last year to keep him because of how impactful he has been on the defensive side of the ball in the frontcourt next to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Khris Middleton's future, on the other hand, is certainly worth discussing. He is set to make $31.6 million this upcoming season and owns a $34 million player option for the 2025-26 season. No matter what trade they possibly make, the Bucks are wanting to win right now, which is why they will be wanting talent over draft picks.

Well that totally contradicts what Ger bear reported about Brook. Someone lyin’

Nah. Someone was reporting actual news, someone was reporting what his source who works for the Warriors said.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Reads more as nobody is interested in trading anything of value to get the Bucks out of their second apron Brook Lopez predicament (which is basically a no duh).

Houston has Adams and Sengun, Pelicans never made any sense (Zion+Brook is a rebounding disaster), so you’re basically left with the Spurs, Warriors, Lakers and Kings. Spurs are stockpiling picks for the future so you can likely scratch them from the list. Warriors are more interested in a big move like Markkanen. The aging Lakers don’t seem interested in trading any first round picks. Kings just did the DeRozan deal as their big splash.

I’m guessing this is going to be revisited before the end of the night.

Detroit claiming Reed indicates that Beef Stew is very gettable. Imo that’s the center to target. Just need to fit him into the other potential roster moves.

I'm guessing you could also get Reed from Detroit. They claimed him simply because it was good value.

It's possible Horst didn't believe there were any draft prospects available at #23 capable of cracking our playoff rotation and shifted to the high upside route.

Currently we're banking on two min guys and improvement from meh younger players to patch up pretty large holes.

What huge holes do they currently have on their roster? Wright can be our starting SG if we cannot add anyone else. As is, we are already a 50-55 win team if we can avoid major injuries to our big 3.

Detroit is the team to deal with right now. Theres an analogy about closing time at a bar that seems unsavory in the current climate, but make no mistake, Detroit is that girl.

Yeah, i do think this is the most likely scenario but there is still a chance that theres a trade brewing where another team really wanted AJ Johnson as part of it.

We won 49 games with largely the same roster last season and had pretty damn good health out of Giannis, Dame, Brook, Bobby, etc, etc. pretty much everyone but Khris. Are we expecting him to play a lot more games this year?

The Bucks also played .500 ball for a 30 game stretch after acquiring Doc Rivers. They're not a good defensive team which hasnt been addressed this off-season. It's like some of you guys have wiped last season from your memory cards.

It would be very Detroit to end up holding the bag maxing Ingram.

Their new GM comes from New Orleans too.

Makes no sense next to Tobias but not like that’s stopped them before.

Not sure how we’d get involved but Pistons seem ripe to give up young players to win now.

I bet AJ Green has fans around the league.

We haven’t talked much about including him in a trade package. And Horst dealt Sam Merrill for Grayson fwiw.

Definitely have high hopes for Dairy Bird but if he’ll be more of a backup for another few seasons (know certain posters think he’ll be ready sooner) I wouldn’t rule it out.

This team needs a starting SG that can turn around our perimeter defense somehow.

Detroit does have a little war chest of developmental players on their roster I like. High draft picks tho so I’m not sure what Detroit is doing but if they’d be willing to help us out for whatever reason, I’d hope Horst is on the horn.

Ausar Thompson, Ivey, Holland, Duren and Stewart are all worthy of consideration. Not sure why Detroit would trade Thompson but he’d be so perfect to plug in at SG.

Bucks in: Beef Stew
Kings in: Bobby
Pistons in: Pat, Lyles, Bucks 2031 2nd, Kings 2027 1st
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

I think if you're trading Green now, it's a bet that he's not going to get better, which, based on the last two years, does not seem like a good bet, given he didn't look like a viable 2 way player when he first signed with us, and now looks (at least to me) like a fringe 16 game guy. One of the last players I'd look to trade, but, as with all trades: it depends.
