Let's get serious.
Wemby or Lamine Yamal?
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Having a highlights reel like that before turning 17 is pretty absurd

i don't watch soccer, but it seems like there's a young phenom right around the corner all the time. i have to think that soccer is an egalitarian sport that doesn't require elitist size,,,and you got kids playing when they're 5, so the talent pool has breadth

Maybe you'll come around with a few more major wins from Alcaraz and possibly Sinner- they're fantastic players.

Well, Djokovic is currently playing in SF Wimbledon... he could play Alcaraz in the Championship. Give it a chance.. could be a great match. It will be a rematch of last year's Final.
Cheers

Yes its true, but the sport is physical. I was watching the game the other day, and he does that ball protection thing with your body, while the other guy pushing him around, and I was like - how is this kid 16, its ridiculous. I also never understood how they can kick the ball so hard and far away, all Football plsyers in general I mean. Is it really the boots? I feel I can kick the ball shorter distance than keepers just throwing ball with their hands, but idk, I am just a wimp. Goalkeepers will just kick the ball basically across entire field, how the hell do they do that?

This sport has had super phenoms, Spain especially recently. Wasnt Ansu Fati like that too? But they integrate these 16 year olds into Barcelona and stuff, make them work like elite pros, and sometimes their bodies break down before 20. I think Fati was like that, and they had another super prospect at the same time, I think both had same injury filled fate recently.

They're both fantastic but to me, what made the golden generation of tennis wasn't just that Nadal/Fed/Nole were so good, but that the tier 2 and tier 3 players were as good as they were. A prime Murray is probably the world #1 today. Guys like Wawrinka, Tsonga, Del Potro, Cilic, Ferrer, Davydenko, etc, etc could all show up and ruin the top 3s day because of how good they were in their own right. Even if Sinner and Alcaraz live up to the hype, I don't see the same gauntlet that they'll have to go through each big tournament.

Nah, Victor is something that never happened before, Yamal is ridiculous for his age, but thats it. Its still Victor.

I picked Wemby because he literally stands out more than the others in his sport.

This kid is only 16 and is the best player (supposedly) out there...

I still go Wemby, and I felt this way when the initial thread was made. The title isn't who's the BEST young phenom, but who's the most EXCITING. Wemby has legit GOAT level potential if he pans out right and the Spurs build a proper team around him. Alcaraz IMO won't reach the form of the big 3 even if he does get close to them in GS totals due to his era not being as strong, and Bellingham, while great, isn't going to be a game breaker.

Is he really the best, feels like a stretch. I mean he starts on best Euro team thats in a final, and he probably had best goal of the tourney, but I feel we had Yamals in Football before, maybe a year older, but Yamals happen. I think the best Mbappe game I have ever seen was when he was still 18, he supposed to be new goat, but I really do not think he can be one.

Victor is just something unreal in my view. He could have been DPOY if hes on better team.

You're missing out then because Alcaraz is pure box office and Djokovic isn't gone, he's still really good. He and Alcaraz are literally playing in the Wimbledon Final two days from now. Sinner and Alcaraz are developing a nice little rivalry too. We'll never seen an era like Djokovic, Nadal and Federer again. 3 players at the absolute pinnacle of the history of their sport clashing at the same time.

Alcaraz
Then wemby
Then Bellingham I don't see the all time hype honestly. I think he's a great player but won't be close to All time like Messi or cr7.

Meanwhile Alcaraz is already on track to be plus I see it.
And wemby I can seee the potential to be

Pretty obviously, the answer is a draw between Wemby and Carlos. They are each once-in-20 years type players, while Jude is more along the lines of "hey, he might be the best player born his year."

Jude is a world class player already at a young age but he's nowhere near the other two. he's on the same tier as dozens of other players, he's one of the youngest if not the youngest in that tier but let's not get carried way

Wemby is on his sure way to GOATness and Alcaraz is on GOAT-ish trajectory as well

Wemby and Alcaraz are generational players in their sport, Bellingham is incredible but he's one of many
