The team has really devolved because of the poor guard play. Everyone is refusing to pass because they know the ball isn’t gonna get back to them, which then becomes a self-perpetuating cycle.

This one would suck because it felt like Knecht was so obvious, but we will see. A more extreme example was the Luka draft when he went third and even without the benefit of hindsight people were like, wtf is going on.

Maxey bought Morey a couple years pass. But after Springer and McCain (so far), he needs to start reevaluating his draft process.

De Silva was also on mock drafts for us and is having a really nice summer league. He is an older player that could have potentially given us rotation minutes right away too.

It's friggin Summer League and people are already calling McCain a bust lol. Typical Negadelphia. Can't we at least wait until he plays with actual experienced NBA players before we run him out of town?

He can shoot, I don't get it. Isiah Joe could shoot, but of course he was burned at the stake. Fringe players aren't perfect, which McCain would be for us. He can also create, winning.

True but with most of the defensive focus being on Embiid, PG and Maxey, McCain should see a lot of easy looks. I know that people want to harp on his poor shooting thus far which is understandable but FWIW he also grabbed 7 rebounds tonight which is impressive for a guard his size. It also helps that the kid works his ass off so I'm sure that the player we see now won't be the same player when all is said and done.
