Ummm...yeah...ok.
Corporations have seen record profits during this period due to jacked up prices. I too wish I could afford to be this detached from reality
Lol even the exact verbiage regurgitated verbatim from the media. Have you verified if that's true? What companies have had record profits? All of them? Are these record profits adjusted for the massive amounts of inflation? You've looked into that correct?

Yeah pretty much. If someone is calling an interracial union "Unusual parentage", that's a pretty loud dog whistle.
Grew up in Indonesia, white mother, private schools, time in America was off the mainland. First black president was 'not like us'. You sure you black? Cause that was a major criticism of him. That he was not a FBA. Seems suspect you don't know what I mean.
Dude you came on here making racist comments about "the blacks" and when called on it, you claimed to be Black....before then dropping neo nazi dog whistles. Calling Obama's parentage "unusual" is another dog whistle.
Relax. You're not fooling anyone here.

I knew Trump was disliked and his political/ideological opponents wanted him out, but I thought it was basically just business.
But when I heard Sam Harris say the most unhinged things in relation to Trump, is when I knew this was something else. It's breathtaking to witness grown men, men who are supposedly intellectuals not be able to control themselves.
Everyone else is feeding off that energy. Left wing commentator Destiny went on a similar sort of rant after the assassination attempt. It's really just a veneer of civility.

I'm simply trying to remind you that a person died over this. There's nothing bad ass about this, it's a tragedy that should have never happened. I'm not blaming Trump for the incompetence of the USSS.
I disagreed 100% with the victim's views and hate speech but I have empathy for him and I find it messed up that Don can't even be bothered to call his widow to offer condolences.

You would be dismayed if all that propaganda about Trump resulted in his assassination, right? You're happy that he wasn't badly hurt and is still alive to run, correct?

It's sort of obvious. Trump is a terrible human being (Selfish, mean-spirited, dishonest) is not only never held accountable, but rewarded for it. That by itself is infuriating. For me at least, it actually has very little to do with his politics. It's not even entirely on Trump because it's just as much on the way half the population responds to him. It's completely disheartening.

He couldn't run anywhere. He was pinned to the floor until the threat was secured. We got the shooter. Ok. Let me get my shoes and my lifts while I raise my fist like a tough guy. That smell? I pooped again. It's ok. It's a wonderful poop. Never seen a poop like it. Massive. So much pooping.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. He poops.

Yep. Instead of rallying and circling the wagons, Dems start firing in a circle because they want perfect instead of good. It's one of the most frustrating things about this system.
I was listening to an interview with Alan Litchman, the history professor who predicts elections and I believe he summed it up perfectly. Republicans have no morals and Democrats have no spine. It’s been 2 weeks of wasted media time talking about Biden that should have been laser focused on Trump. This is a media problem no doubt but Democrats have just given Republicans a gift with their public infighting.

LOL. If it was that easy, then government could just start and stop inflation.
The free market determines the economy far more than the president. Oil prices went up because of the Ukraine war and companies were waiting for the end of covid and people returning to work in larger numbers to kick up prices.
But I'll meet you halfway. The covid stimulus package, which was written in congress, but Biden put his name on it, did add to inflation, but it wasn't the sole cause.
This is pretty good summary.

Which propaganda are you referring to? That he was convicted of sexual assault in court'? Or convicted of 34 felony accounts in court?
The shooter apparently is a right wing gun enthusiast. Which is still not known what his motives for the assassination attempt were at this moment.
You're simply spinning a narrative.

This is why I just walk away from these guys. They'll move the goalposts all day long. Some of them even try to play cute with their stance by call themselves Neutral and faking mock surprise at a "broken discourse" harumph! while dropping one dog whistle after another. These are the tactics of people who have either been directly trained in or have assimilated the tactics of sabotage. They think they are more clever than the overtly rabid ones and they actually are more sinister because they got all of you to play footsie with them under the rubric of conducting a healing dialogue. They have no such intent. They are here merely to undermine logic, not embrace it. They are rogues and have no interest in finding common ground. Don't let them play you like that

Reason is because the building was the tactical operations center for the local police. Of all the buildings to pick, he chooses the one not guarded by SS. That’s amazing. Congressman Comer who’s chairman of the house oversight committee said the SS absolutely should’ve been covering that building.
I’ve also read some say that the SS snipers can only engage when a potential threat acts first or even have to wait for command, which isn’t true. So if they were looking right in his direction, wtf took so long?
I've watched news reports which stated that the SS, local, and state police were on site and responsible for certain areas but that they weren't coordinated by one agency. Was the local police department's "tactical operations center" securing that building? That seems like an easy one, no?
Does anyone know if there were FBI agents on the scene at the time of shooting?
What's incredible to me is that there, apparently, was no coordination or command structure among/between these various law enforcement agencies. There's too much video evidence available to experts in the field now. They will figure this one out but it appears to be a collapse in executing what should be a routine plan to protect a presidential candidate making an outdoor campaign speech.
THEY EVEN MADE A DAMN MOVIE ABOUT IT!!!!
"In The Line Of Fire" with Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich. 1993
Gross incompetence or coordinated plausible deniability?
Yea I’m leaning towards the latter after watching a bunch of ex military/security agents & snipers comment on how this was grossly mishandled. There’s just waaayyy too many bs things going on. Especially this craziness…
https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/4776617-secret-service-director-assassination-attempt-roof/
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said in an interview that aired Tuesday morning that a sloped roof used by the gunman who attempted an assassination of former President Trump last weekend at a rally had “safety factor” considerations.
“That building in particular has a sloped roof, at its highest point,” Cheatle said in an interview that aired on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Tuesday morning to the outlet’s Pierre Thomas. “And so, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof. And so, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.”

Out of the 2 Parties. GOP have routinely pushed raising the age & putting a cap on social security benefits. I'm not deep into politics, but this is an alarming issue to me that needs to be brought up more in general.
Diabetes runs in my family. Both my parents have it and my grandfather passed away from it. While I actively take the precautions to avoid having it myself. The $35 cap on insulin is a huge plus.
I'm also big into nutrition. GOP routinely push for less regulation towards food supply. This is also alarming to me.

This kind of comment is amusing. It doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out why people wouldn't want Trump in power. Some people like democracy.

Trump only exists because half the population supports failed ideas that would have been unheard of even 20 years ago. While the failed economic ideas have come and gone in waves, the social decay is what has said to many people, someone must stand up to put an end to this.
I mean we are having a debate in part over whether everyone has a right to come into the country unvetted. Some want to argue that this is the reasonable position. It's one thing for people to be unsure of economic policy, but this?
