Between this and the whole criminal charges, it appears to me that some very powerful people don't want Trump in office. What exactly are the afraid of..an America with a backbone? Unlike the last election, this one is going to pretty tough for them to fix..

This kind of comment is amusing. It doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out why people wouldn't want Trump in power. Some people like democracy.

I've read your views and I do find some of them to be indeed racist. I don’t think you're in the same territory as the other dude though who just casually speaks about "the blacks" like we're uncivilized animals and casually drops neo nazi dog whistles, if that means anything. I'm open to civil conversation and for the most part, I think our interactions have been just that.

This is a free speech society and you have a right to express those views.

That being said, you can't get upset when people who don't agree with you push back on or challenge said views. That's how things work.

Let's talk it out. What views of mine do you interpret to be racist? Perhaps we can have a good-faith exchange and understand each other better after.

Is Trump not a threat to democracy? Do actually disagree? It would be nice to know why you're so dismissive of tangible reasons people wouldn't want Trump to be president.

A strong leader who is a convicted felon, that can operate with impunity, am I reading you correctly?

Hmm. Sounds familiar, very 1930s Weimar type stuff.

Yes you're reading me correctly.

That's honestly disturbing that you're okay with this. I'm not making light of it or trying to clown/insult.

So you no longer feel that America should operate as a democracy, and that Trump should be basically our dictator? That's what operate with impunity means.

I don't believe he is. Definitely not relative to Democratic policies that restrict business growth, a strong America, free speech, family values , capitalism etc. I feel way less "Free" under the Democrats than Trump.

We touched on it briefly a few or several pages back. I don’t see a reason to discuss because some of those things I vehemently disagree with you on and I can honestly say there's not much that can change my mind on those things.

But, to your point, these are your views and despite my opinion, you have every right to have them and express them, and I would prefer to leave it at that. This is ultimately supposed to be a discussion on Trump's attempted assassination.

Freedom isn't necessarily the same thing as democracy. The most fundamental part of democracy though is respecting the vote, which Donald Trump doesn't do.

Interesting.

Can you provide an example of a way that Democratic governance has restricted your constitutionally guaranteed freedoms in any way? Just one or two if you want. I just want to see why you feel that way.

The tweet in question is alleging that VP hopeful JD Vance follows a vile account that is, for all intents and purposes, run by pederasts who are lusting over white teenage "towel boys" . From what I just saw, this stuff is nasty as it gets.

Question for you. If this is true, and Vance is some type of pederast, would that change your support for him?

Fair enough, appreciate the thoughtful response.

Maybe fate will have us share a blunt outside MSG after a thrilling Knicks playoff victory, enjoying the simpler things in life.

She's grifting hardcore. She wants that Candace Owens money I guess.

It is what it is. I'd be embarrassed if that was my child's mother tbh.

It is fairly obvious that 30% of the population want a king and not a president of a democratic republic

They can't even be realistic with their fantasies either

No candidate has gotten 60% of the population to vote for them. Trump got 74 million votes 4 years ago, the 2nd most of all time, and that was only 29.4% of the voting age population. So to suggest he would get 60% of the population to vote for him means Rhodey thinks he'll get over 150 million votes

But even if he just means 60% of the people who vote, the last time a Republican won that much was Nixon in 1972. And just as a reminder, Republicans have won the popular vote (meaning more than 50% of the people who vote, and 60% is more than 50% just in case some people are confused) one time in the last 36 years

So to say Trump will win 60% of the vote when he won 46.8 and 46.1% both previous times he ran is just pure delusion

But Trump supporters have never been good at the whole "understanding reality" thing.

Why do I get the feeling come November, Biden is going to win in a pretty unremarkable election and people will look back and realize Trump’s campaign is purely on social media. Who is this appealing to?

It’s so cringy.

I feel like right now they’re a lot of undecided voters. However they break will win the election.
