The main thing is Fultz is finally gone. Joseph hopefully won't play much, but he is a decent 15th man on the roster.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't we decide if either player gets traded or if either player misses the majority of the games post-trade deadline with injury that the bet is nullified, right?
As I understand it, the official bet is if both players are on the team and both healthy enough to play, Cole will outpace Black in all of the "the basketball is in this player's hands" metrics.

Hopefully he's a good vet, because everything else screams "if this guy is playing real minutes for you, you're in trouble".
Then again i have no idea what other options there were out there.

Man, you winning this bet will be such a flex. I don't know if I can bear it.Knightro wrote:cedric76 wrote:Cole will be gone at trade deadline

So..
Suggs/Cole/Joseph
KCP/AB/Jett/Caleb
Franz/Gary/TDS
Paolo/JI
WCJ/Moe/Goga
This is how I view the beginning of the season rotation. Consolidation is coming at some point.

I think Cole is definitely getting minutes, Gary is 50-50. Maybe to start the year.
I genuinely cannot fathom a situation where a guy who started every game he was healthy and got 26 minutes a night from the all-star break through the end of the playoffs is going to open the next season completely out of the rotation.
I just can't see that.
Yes, KCP will assume Gary's starting role, but I just can't see Gary shuffled to third string. They played too well with him on the court last year to just shuffle him from 26 MPG to 0 MPG.
Now that said... the odds are super high that he gets injured at some point since he's been injured so often in his career. He's only played more than 60 games once in the last six years. So you can pretty much pencil him in for 20-25 missed games.
And obviously when he misses those games that's gonna open up more minute for younger guys.
But I just think when he's healthy, especially if it's early in the season, he's going to play.

I don’t know if I am just drained from this past season but this season does not excite me at all.
I’m sure that will change once we get closer to the season.

What!!!!! Former magic killer Cory Joseph??? This is intresting. This to me even more signals that a trade will Coen at some point involving cole. Ab pushed to primary back up with Cory Joseph being the 3rd string emergency pg.
I just dont get why the need for 2 years? Who else wanted him?

What energized you most last season? You could be drained from all the ups and downs. Maybe you are disappointed in the lack of significant changes? Or are you disappointed in how the season ended?

Decent signing for a guy to be our third team PG. if we get an injury to Suggs/Anthony, he can give us some spot minutes. He will also be great for the locker room which I hopes pushes/improves Anthony. I was hoping that if we signed a third PG, that he would be a threat to steal the backup spot. Overall, I like the signing this late. Was hoping that we could find a better backup than what we currently have.

Definitely just drained because it was more consuming than I want to believe. Love that group, ups and down. Seeing the departure of some, the chemistry just seem different now.

Solid depth signing. Always gonna have a soft spot for Cojo since he started on the Spurs and that I know him a bit through proxy of my homeboy I used to hoop with in high school/rec leagues.
Now the horror stories of Fultz being re-signed because of "vibes" can finally come to an end.

The excitement will come back to you once the season starts. The chemistry will still be immaculate with this group and the depth of the roster has improved. Fun times ahead.

Saw it on the general board but this is the guy that tried to take a charge against Paolo in his first NBA game. Oh, that’s going to be an interesting conversation between them two.

I just can't see that.
He was solid but unspectacular. And coming from someone who advocated for Gary over Jett last year just from a perspective of the team wanting to win, thus them going with a guy who gave better two-way production, I can equally see the front office sitting down with Mose or even talking to Gary before signing and informing him about a reduced role with intention of getting Jett/AB more involved.
It may not happen right away, but I think there is a plan in place. I also thinking with the signings, WCJ is trade fodder unless he gets back to the level he once was.

Do we need to start a bet thread between AB and Cole and how many which ways Knightro has agreed upon a bet?
Or, or, do we just need to start some kinda general pool here. Not sure.

Black will outplay cole so much that Cole will be traded
If they decide to trade Cole, it s a clear induction that black outplayed him so you d lose the bet
