Here you go:

I'll grant you this much. It's a dicy subject to tell companies that "you can't profit because it increases inflation" - which it ABSOLUTELY does. But there's nothing wrong with giving corporations there share of the blame when inflation happens and they are a key part of it. If we're not allowed to speak the truth, what are we allowed to do?

This article was just a fancy way to say the companies raised prices in anticipation of higher costs due to actual inflation aka the increase in money supply. These price increases were not due to any sort of advantage in the marketplace they were exploiting.

In short, the price increases were necessary.

And just to be clear. This record profit narrative is said to erase any blame from the government. The money supply was increased. That's why prices increased across the board. That is why everyone, including workers are making 'record incomes' while actually having less spending power. These people are very clever. I have to hand it to them...

Just want to actually get an answer to this question from a Trumper (third try in this thread)
What could Donald do prior to November that would render him un-electable in your eyes? What would he have to do to lose your vote?
Is there a stance he could take? A personal event (shooting someone, or an animal)? anything at all?

I’ve had this debate with some family members who echo your sentiment, and call me naive but I don’t believe that simply race and gender is enough to stop a good candidate.

Barak was two terms, and Michelle has some of the highest favorable ratings among anyone in the political landscape. We can debate whether she is a good enough candidate or not but I reject that it’s as simple as race and gender in 2024.

I'm sure there are a few answers to this. But what he certainly could do, is offer a bunch of socialist ideas to destroy the country. That would definitely lose my vote.

Principle. Something inherently wrong isn’t right just because of the target. People try to do the type of thinking all the time. “Why are white people marching for civil rights, the Jim Crowe laws don’t affect them and never will.” Same logic.

Luv those Knicks wrote:But why would you be against unisex bathrooms? It seems to be a solution for all. If you don't want any trans person to use the ladies room, or the mens room, now they have a safe place to go. Just because unisex bathrooms exist doesn't mean that all bathrooms will be unisex. Do you get how that works?

I get how it can work . Push an a agenda to a few, get the public "used" to your agenda, then push it out to the masses, because that was the plan all along....mass confusion. Next thing you know this is our new "normal":

Luv those Knicks wrote:Biden has been tough on immigration, so was Obama. There's a ton of ignorance going around on immigration right now. It's lower today than it was under Trump pre-covid. What neither of them were willing to do was separate parents and children, which Trump did. It was the republicans that tanked the immigration bill, under Trump's request. Democrats were eager to address it.

Mayor adams and 82% of New Yorkers disagree. https://nypost.com/2023/09/07/nyc-mayor-adams-says-migrant-crisis-will-destroy-the-city-during-town-hall/

Luv those Knicks wrote:RIF is a charitable and human rights organization. Not a political entity. People have a right to support what they wish.

Cool.

Luv those Knicks wrote:America has a long history of aiding refugees, which has largely stopped in the last 20 years. Refugees are people without a home. I'm not going to criticize anyone for offering support to a refugee.

Yes Im aware of that. I have relatives who supported legislation - like the immigration act of 1964 - to allow more immigrants of color in the US. Strangely enough people from this lineage - (Foundational Black Americans)- have been lumped in with other groups as "minorities" and summarily ignored by the Democrats. I don't understand the loyalty.

So yes I agree helping those in need is great but not at the expense of hurting the people already here ....many of whom also need help but are ignored. The Democrats say they want to help but then they send the migrants to "inner city" locals....maybe they should send them to where THEY live and see what effect that has .

Luv those Knicks wrote:So, with all due respect, I don't think your examples are good examples.

With all due respect you are entitled to your own opinion. It doesn't make me think any less of you.

Probably the three biggest reasons were a) her lack of popularity during the 2020 primaries b) the groan when she was selected VP and c) until recently it would have been easy to forget she existed as VP

Aside from her sitting in the job and being who she is and I suppose the words on her resume, she does not have any big legislative successes to rest on, no big platform she champions etc. Aside from her demographics (and that she is not trump) she really does not have anything to drive a vote.

I think the whole Biden drop out discourse is completely idiotic but bypassing Vice President Harris will not end well at all.

I mean, Biden is it until he can't for some reason.

If he can't it almost has to be Harris. I would look at Whitmer, Klubuchar, and Mayor Pete for VP.

Can you be a little more specific?

There are a ton of policies that are "socialist"
For example retirement, social security, medicare, the VA.

What is a "socialist" program that if Trump supported he would lose your vote?

Sabotaging their own party. This is closed door discussion and these fuggin people wanna do this in the public eye? I am sorry. I am losing what little faith I had in this party to begin with. The biggest reason I registered was never Trump! Here they are trying to hand him ANOTHER election on a silver fuggin platter! He never should have won last time but, they got cocky and blew it in the bottom of the 9th!

I'm beginning to think this is what they WANT to happen! Big reset! This gets worse by the day.

List all the "socialist" policies that people can't live without to really drive the point home. Infrastructure/roads/tunnels/bridges/ etc etc. These dumb catch phrases are ridiculous.

The Democrats need to focus on 2028 at this point. A last minute replacement isn’t winning this election. On the bright side is the potential for this to spur the democrats into action to fix the issues in their party.

What pisses me off is, okay, Biden drops out. Then what?

Who are they planning on campaigning this close to the election? Early voting starts very soon and Biden didn't suddenly get old. He's already been old. The writing has been on the wall for years and now, they want him to step down.

By doing so, they will hand the US to the GOP because Biden drops, and Kamala is not popular at all to pick up the pieces of what would be a disaster of a campaign. And again, who would be the next option?

I swear, the Democrats are Charlie Brown and thinking that Lucy will NEVER let go of the ball and each time she does and laughs at him when he falls.

People have already gone through the primaries and there is no looming name in the background that will immediately get people excited unless they can somehow get Michelle Obama to run, which is already a fool's errand.

MSM already has been complicit by focusing on any Biden gaffes and ignoring all the lies, horrible proposals from Project 2025 that the former resident wants to implement on day one of his second term, and how horrible our current GOP lead House of Representatives is being run. They only care about a story and not informing the viewer.

It's sickening.

Yep. I called this 4 years ago when COVID Joe was allowed to steal the nomination from Bernie by hiding in his Bunker. I was surprised he won honestly. They should have limited him to one term and brought out the big guns to make sure Trump was never allowed to sniff his drugs and shyt his pants in the White House ever again!

Bernie didn't appeal to Southern Black voters and his base doesn't vote.

I like the guy a lot. But that's just how it played out.

SS and local authorities knew he was on the roof for 20 minutes and still let Trump take the stage. They took zero precaution after the SS was alerted there was a “designated threat on the roof”

Also, that very first pic that came out of him sitting on the ground was taken by a sniper who was watching him after he was labeled a “person of interest”.

Then just saw this interview with Town Manager Tom Knight…

So there’s an NBC version of an interview with him that I saw on YouTube and on Fox News that are totally different. On YouTube they completely cut off the part where he 100% verifies that the local police had joint/shared communications with the SS, and the cop who saw the shooter and fell to the ground along with the cop he was with, both immediately called in to the SS and informed them the guy on the roof is armed.

That’s a huge deal. I wonder why NBC is cutting it out of every video on the web, but they should’ve got Trump off stage and snipers should’ve shot the dude since he was armed, in position, and drew down on a cop. At least in these two links you can see him verifying that there was direct coms to the SS.
