Jokic- Jordon
Gordon- Saric
MPJ- Watson
Braun- Strawther
Murray- Westbrook

That team is still a Naz Reid away from doing legit damage.

There will be times where they have to play Murray and Brook together

This is such a weird fit. Swapping KCP for Westbrook is just so horrible. What is this Denver gm doing

Russ is actually a decent backup PG. Even when he shoots 2-9 etc.. he crashes the glass and is a good passer. He also has become a surprisingly good defender at POA randomly the last couple of years. Jokic will find him probably for several layups a game. The bigger issue is the loss of KCP, who is very very underrated by average fans.

The Pickett selection and contract is turning out to be a terrible move. They wasted two years (on two-way deals) on Collin Gillespie and still couldn't find a backup point guard. Isn't backup PG like the easiest position to fill in the league? There's a million guards out there, but if Malone won't give them burn, you gotta bring in a "name" like Westbrook.

I am concerned about his horrible defense. If Murray has another up and down regular season health-wise and he might due to his shins, Westbrook is going to have to play a lot. Eek.

feels like a ticket selling move more than trying to get better on the margins

No way Russ starts right? If he does I want a rematch against the Nuggets in the playoffs, third time will be the charm.

Russ is going to look great in a couple of high profile games. And then the aggregate impact stats will come in, and defenses will actually start caring.

I do see something that Jokic is potentially looking at as a positive, the outlet pass. Westbrook can speed down the floor without the ball in transition to attack weak transition defenses after Jokic outlets a rebound to him.

They don't have the money for Tyus, who also wants to start. Westbrook is signing for the minimum.

The Nuggets will actually have Braun starting instead of KCP and Westbrook running the point with the bench instead of Reggie Jackson.

I've never liked him as a player, because he spent his heydays hunting stats. Yeah, he had a few great playoff runs, but nevertheless, he was a stat-padder most of the time. Now, Jokic asking specifically for him to come to Denver is meaningful and I'm hoping that he knows and sees something the rest of us are not aware of, but I will have doubts till we're a few months into the new season without Russ sticking to his old habits.

No, Russ won't be starting. Rotation will be

Jokic/Saric
Gordon/Cancar/Nnaji
MPJ/Watson
Braun/Strawther
Murray/Westbrook

Watson will be 6th man with big minutes. This may work. Or not. I'm more afraid what happenes when some of guys get injured.

He can’t start . Braun is not starter .
