I loved Minott's better showing. He still desperately needs to add a three point shot. Make or break for him.

Wolves should be 4-0. I know Rob’s shooting has been pretty abysmal but he looks like an undersized PG out there whereas Sheppard looks more like an undersized shooting guard to me. I am impressed since he has never been a main pg before I think he has a great feel for the game and will be a great floor general for the wolves in future..

I can’t wait until Dilly builds up some muscle. He’s really struggling to finish right now.

I agree we need to let TSJ a little more. Actions with Dilly, TSJ, and Miller. Miller is such an awful screen setter though.

I don't get this Dilly needs to get stronger/more muscle talk. He's very strong for his size and ripped as hell. He's just small and that's not going to change.

Dillingham will be fine, but we desperately need a vet pg to split time with him until he is ready.

Clark needs a year in the G league to just play and find himself again, at least half a season.

Shannon, should get some minutes.

Minott needs game time with actual NBA players to see if he can help or not. Shooting is ugly, but only thing left to do is give him a chance or cut bait.

Miller I struggle with. I was super excited when they drafted him, but he hasn't developed at all the way I was hoping. His size as a combo forward is good, his athleticism is good not great, a lot of his game is just kind of ok. However, the stuff that isn't is hard to watch. His footwork looks like Bambi two-stepping on ice, his 3pt shot looks like Mario jumping with his legs moving, he still looks awkward. He is almost at the point of Minott though, in that you just have to play him and see what he gives you.

Nix is the only other guy there really is to talk about, they could actually cut the rest, sign all new players and I wouldn't fault them at all. Aside from needing a haircut, I think it's time to just give him back up PG minutes with Dillingham. Again, unless they bring a vet in. Nix, when playing under control, seems like he could help. He is a big PG, but if he can't shoot just let him go.

Overall I am underwhelmed by the guys listed above. I thought Rob and his quickness would dominate much more. Minott and Miller look the same to me, minor improvements. Nix seems like a maybe. Clark is about what I expected due to injury recovery. TSJ is the one I am curious to see in training camp.

On a final side note, it is very disappointing they did not do a better job finding a legit center prospect to develop. If Edwards was 19 instead of 25 I may be more understanding. Rudy isn't getting any younger, and Garza has major limitations. There were plenty of players available throughout the second round and after that would have had a chance to come in and develop over the next two years to be a legit back up five if not more.

Bona was available but he’s a lost cause offensively.
I think they will try to find a center next draft, wolves have a second from Utah, right?

I don’t like Edwards at all though, he’s tall but weak with bad hands and he’s old, he has no upside whatsoever. Wolves need to cancel that two way.

There was a video going around of Miller working out with the Canadian National Team where he was shooting 3s.

He was going straight up and down, feet together. It looked so good. I thought he was turning a corner!

But man, the "Jackknife 3" has been back in full force in SL.

I still actually think Rob is more ready as a PG and ball-handler then expected. As in, I think he can do what Jmac or Monte Morris did last year pretty decently well. But I'm now less confident in his ability to shotmake at the NBA level. A lot of the shots he was missing were pretty easy shots, so hopefully things start to fall at least more than they were.

Small PG that pushes pace and keeps the flow of the offense going with inconsistent offense, finishing, and outside shooting. That's what we had last year. And Rob somewhat was able to get to perimeter shots and was able to get into the lane to get into areas that a player who has good touch and shotmaking around the rim finishes at a pretty high rate, so I don't know it's hard for me to say and on one hand that needs to better on another hand that's what we had from the backup PG position before.

Curry shot 34% in summer league. Trae young shot 26%. It's summer league. These guys haven't played a real game since the tournament and only got a couple of days to practice and learn an entirely new system. Shooting is an art that requires a silent mind, and right now these guys heads are spinning. Take shooting percentages with a grain of salt. When they get comfortable in the system those shots will start falling.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

All the pods think SL is over, but I am pretty sure there are consolation games for the 26 teams that don’t make the playoffs. NBA.com’s schedule seems to agree. Does anyone know what is going on?

Think we can still get into playoffs with a SA loss...it comes down to point differential.

Spurs have to lose and another undefeated team has to get demolished. I think.

Its the Top 4 teams, right?

We'd need the Spurs to lose, and either GS to lose by 7+ or Miami to lose by 10+

I thought each team plays 5 games no matter what, like last year?

Yes,

The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on Saturday, July 20 or Sunday, July 21.

So why are all the pods saying summer league is over for the wolves? Makes no sense.

Because if they don't qualify for the playoff, I bet the rotation will be inconsequential. I doubt anyone of note would play.

I get not using Shannon, but everyone else could use the practice.
