Am I wrong to say If Boston was in the playoffs today, I would rather start Watson > Grant William If those were my 2 choices

Watson has to make those open 3s.. I am worried that he may be such a good asset if he can be a bit better than average at shooting 3s.. But somehow gets stuck on OK and a bit less.

Expected a bit more from Baylor tbh, shows some flashes but probably wont have any impact this upcoming season, which is dissapointing, we really need to hit our draft picks.

I mean, obviously he'd be a better player if he is shooting a bit better than average from 3.

But Aaron Gordan didn't shoot well from 3 and he was the starting PF on the nuggets when they won the title. Kyle anderson hasn't been a good shooter for most of his career. Paul Millsap wasn't a great shooter for most of his career. Brandon Clarke is a non-shooter. Larry Nance Jr isn't much of a shooter but good role player, etc.

Daniel Theis hasn't been a great shooter for most of his career.

Let's also factor in that Watson *just* got drafted. Let's give him some time. If we give him some time with the Celtics development staff, I'm confident that eventually he'll be a respectable shooter.

I was looking at Jaquez, Whitmore, and O-Max for that wing help at #25, but they were all taken. Glad that Walsh was there at #38 when Brad traded back, but I wanted to keep 2 picks in the second to get GG Jackson.

I feel bad for him, but this is turning into Grant rookie season, Ben Simmons level stuff.

I mean, he's still young -- but he's older than GG Jackson.

No not Ben Simmons. Walsh can not make a 3 into the Ocean.. But Ben doesn't even go near the beach.

When Boston drafted Walsh, I was a bit surprised but did buy into his potential based on what I saw early last year. Clearly he not only hasn't Progressed, but possibly became much worse. Not even a sign of anything positive offensively.

And before Boston drafted, I made it clear that GG Jackson was my top pick. GG showed a nice natural shooting touch in college . Walsh never really did.

NO MORE SHOOTING Projects.. I want hard working naturally shooters > any other quality..

When GG went after Walsh, I recall thinking "I really hope we don't regret this". So far it's not even close. Hope we're not back here in a year or so saying same about Chomche.

I see where you are coming from but Memphis had no choice but to play Jackson ALOT. Injuries all over the place. Now, would Walsh have produced like he did? I would say no, but Jackson on the C's last year and he may very well be the G-League MVP considering how he played in the bigs last year.

That's why I hope Joe throws at least Anton into the fire this season. Maybe Rico also, but IMO Anton can contribute.

It would help BUT that doesn't excuse his many ill-advised shot attempts.. low shooting pct from NON 3 point shots.. He would still be disappointing in my eyes.

we had no chance to draft Jaquez, But truth is he was not high on my radar.. so I would have missed on him.
