We’re going to play a game this evening at 6:00 pm vs the Hawks. Any GT ?
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

Successful SL overall. Our end of the bench talent will be a lot better.
Kolek has vision and feel you cannot teach. He will be perfect for the second unit and it will allow Deuce to play off the ball. I fully expect Kolek to play his way into the rotation at some point in the season.
Dadiet was disappointing overall. His highlights overseas were so impressive but he struggled. We have to keep in mind he is an 18 yo kid. But we did see some flashes of talent with his handle and off the ball play. That J needs a lot of work.
Hukporti got better as SL went on but he too needs a lot of work and I expect him to be in Westchester. But good finisher, nice soft touch and solid rebounder.
Rokas also got better and more comfortable with each game. He is def an NBA player and should be invited to training camp.
Skap was probably my favorite player in SL. He is big and slow but has skill. I like how be sets screens and he can pass too. He too should def be invited to training camp and play in preseason.

The issue about bringing Rokas is that we already have a logjam at 1 and 2 spots.

What's wrong with having depth?
1) We have only 15 spots for standard contracts. We have only 2 standard roster spots open right now. We need depth in other positions.
3 - OG, Hart, KBD
4- Randle, Pacome
5 - Mitch, Sims
2) Thibs does not trust Sims in playoff games. Pacome is also very raw. Probably, they are not options for important games this season. We need a center and a bigger forward than Hart/KDB (if we do not let this last spot open for later use this season).
3) All the guards will ask for minutes and they probably deserve it. It can be tricky to manage it without putting a short lineup on the court.

Good points but the only guards that deserve minutes are Brunson, Mikal, DiVincenzo and Deuce. Kolek and Rokas are rooks and Payne is one a vet minimum contract. Those guys don't "deserve" minutes. And let's say Kolek or Rokas or Payne play so we'll that they deserve minutes but their aren't any, that's good! Injuries happen and it's good to have options that can play!
If we have 2 roster spots open I'd give them to Precious and Hayward.

Rokas is a pro in Europe. He will not go to the NBA to not get minutes.
Payne also is expecting minutes. If he plays well, it can be hard to deny him minutes.
Kolek also can play well. And the fans and media will demand minutes.
Meanwhile, we need centers and big forwards.

The end of our bench last season was not good. To have good players all the way through is more than depth, it also provides trading options. Being very deep at our guard positions is a good problem to have. It certainly beats having Charlie Brown, Diakite, Jeffries and Toppin at the end of the bench.
They're not done and will add frontline depth which probably does mean at least one of those guards will be moved.

Are we going into the season with 5 PGs and very thin at C.
Can Kolek play Gleague and Rokas be on the bench for the big club, is there room for that?
Payne can't be traded for a few months, can he? I guess if Deuce gets traded for a C then there's more room for Rokas.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

We have only 2 roster spots left. (Kevin should get a 2 way deal).
And we still do not have a proper reserve for Mitch and Randle.

Yes and if one guard is traded there's room for the frontline additions

Knicks played a LOT of 3 guard lineups last year, particularly if you consider Hart a guard.
I get the Knicks could use some more height and of course a trusted backup C, but Thibs will find some minutes for the guards.
Payne can easily get Ausin River'd.
Agreed on the depth.
Roster needs some balancing but it's almost there

Yessir, lock in that quality depth. A guy who gets five minutes a game for a month or two may suddenly be asked to carry a bigger load when someone is out.
For the loooooongest time the Knicks were the stupidly stubborn franchise that refused to prioritize the PG position. It was frustrating as hell, hello Elfrid Payton, we're going to get you right Mudiay and worn out vets galore.
They should never relent at making every single roster spot a good player. This notion that it limits playing time should never be a concern unless the player refused to sign for that reason. This is going to be a top 4 team this season and every self-respecting player should want to be a part of a championship run. It's a great environment to level up yourself in and to gain winning pedigree.

Some want the perfect roster and that doesn't exist.
