Magic have a bunch of right on the fringe of a roster spot guys on this year’s SL team.

Huff, Maledon, Culver, Rhoden, Moon, Brown.

Any one of them could seemingly be a two-way (if they were eligible) or a 15th man on a roster somewhere.

Yeah, nice group. If we could have kept AB, TDS, and Jett out there we'd have been one of the better teams. The sprained ankle for AB and joy killing summer league strategy robbed us.

Most teams treat it pretty cautiously. It's not really mimicking much of the game or roles they'll play, and I think we saw all we wanted out of TDS. I would've played Jett today just cause it'd be fun to see him score 30.
Idk it seems like it's just how we do things and it's one of the things I don't like about this organization..... The kid gloves....hawkins still out there playing.... Gradey dick still out there playing.... But us let's play two games and then shut it down... And how we sometimes overkill on injury treatment.... Like what is the downside to just letting them play? That maybe while unlikely they'll get hurt? I guess ultimately it doesn't matter but this is one of the things I'd wish would change

The one thing I did not totally understand was bringing in so many guys that are not two-way contract eligible and playing them so many minutes when you don’t have any open NBA roster spots either.

It’s just so frustrating to know Summer League is probably one of the only times TdS, AB, and Jett can all be on the court playing meaningful minutes together and yet are babied and held out. Waste of valuable rep’s and I don’t get it.

I would give Huff, Maledon, Culver and Brown Exhibit 10 contracts.

I’d *think* be willing to give Rhoden one of the two-ways unless there’s somebody else out there on another team.

These games are workouts for the Magic as much as it is for all 30 teams. Probably just wanted to field a roster full of at least decent available talent.

Black sprained an ankle.

I would have played TDS and Jett though.

That’s fair. I would expect a few of the guys who played to end up in Osceola even if they’re not on two-way contracts.

So that players will have the full NBA experience, load management included.

I know you can’t put a price on what a veteran can bring to a locker room full of young guys, but I’m pretty sure Theo Maledon is better basketball player than Cory Joseph at this point in their careers.

I don't think the front office wanted to bring in more players that would compete for rotation minutes. We could've added Cam Payne or someone like that for close to the same price.

It's a good sign that TDS, AB, and Jett all looked like our best players and better than G-Leaguers.
