So? he’s completely cooked and was useless for the Lakers.

I think he helps them. How much is yet to be determined. I hope the answer is not much.

ESPN Sources: Veteran guard Reggie Jackson — who agreed on a contract buyout with the Charlotte Hornets — plans to join the Philadelphia 76ers upon clearing waivers.

Damn. That’ll be for the minimum too, and they already got Kyle Lowry, Eric Gordon, and Andre Drummond

When you let most of your roster go to make a run at a Max FA, you have a lot of roles to fills.

True, but I believe they will be very good. Maybe even the favorites to win the championship.

I don't think anyone is disputing that. A team with Embiid, Maxey and Paul George SHOULD be very good.

Just that these guys are going to a place where they have a chance to play meaningful minutes.

We had no shot at any of them.

Bingo.

I hate the "why didn't we just sign Player X for the minimum" takes. There are so many extenuating circumstances that make each situation different.

Here is a few free agents still remain that could help Wolves. I would expect some will be vet minimum: Jones, Hayward, Fultz, Kennard, Walker 4th, THT and Gallinari.

Jones, Hayward or Kennard would be amazing.

I'd be cool with Walker or Fultz if we missed out on any of the first 3.

We already signed Joe Ingles, we don't need another old forward in Gallo

I'd rather give those minutes to our young guys.

I think many of us are underrating our young guys other than Dilly and TJ. I believe Miller and Minott have something to offer and Clark could develop into a defensive stopper.

They still have a chance, but they are running out of time in some ways. I agree that those guys have something to offer, but it might not happen here. And that's okay. Identifying talent isn't a 100% success rate. And sometimes, what young guys need is a real opportunity that is too difficult to find on really good, deep teams. Young guys moving on to find some success elsewhere doesn't mean the original team failed.

I am just a realist. If your name isn't Wembanyama, the chances are you won't be contributing much on a playoff team in your rookie season. Doesn't mean they can't be good in the future.

I have been big believer in Nembhard. A big defensive minded comboguard, who would fit in MIN

They have plenty to offer. In Iowa.

Man, that is harsh, but likely true.

I think Miller's development is right where it should be on a Top 5 team, which we are at the moment. I think he could be in the rotation on a lower playoff team, and probably a starter on a bad lottery team.

Minott is a step or two below that, and Clark is probably even a step below that, simply due to the uncertainty following the injury.

He’s an okay player in the perfect situation for him, he isn’t a starter on most other playoff teams and certainly not for the wolves he would be 8th man at best.

I still think NAW plays better defense and shoots a higher percentage 3. What worries me is that this will influence how much NAW makes, and maybe price him off the team.
