It should be 24

Fiba is sadled with being so stupid

As has been said this is a IOC issue rather than a FIBA. The total number of athletes for the games is capped. Lots of sports get hit with this. Track has had to reduce relay pools, combat sports have had to cut weight classes, rowing the number of disciplines, etc - compared to what they have at their world champs.

DidNt know that, is actually a shame tbh

Is it really such a issue to add more spots for team disciplines?

They are not good enough to actually be on the national team by merit. They are there because they are Giannis' brothers and everyone knows it.

With that being said, they are both injured. So even if Giannis threw a hissy fit, they could not be on the team this time. But that's good, as it actually helps Greece. Because other players that are better than them are on the team instead.

It's better to have players like Panos Kalaitzakis instead of Thanasis, and Nikos Chougkaz instead of Kostas on the roster, because they are better than Thanasis and Kostas.

Unfortunately though, Greece is still missing like 7 of its best players for various reasons.

Kostas at this point maybe a little better than Thanasis even, but he is that classic guy who can have decent moment in the game but he will have two ridiculous defensive fouls with 1 second left on a clock, it can be infuriating to have that guy on your team. If every Greek player played, neither would probably make the team anyway, as you said. I am a bit stunned Ataman actually played Kostas in big games sometimes, but their frontcourt I guess just wasn't as deep, and if Kostas just wasn't dumb, he would be pretty good.

Tbf Ataman is a genius, he could use any player.

No one has a defensive lineup like SGA/Dort/Brooks, they can lockup anyone.

Canada already looks way faster than these Greek players, but fouls piling up early for the Canadians.

Not injured. Coming off the bench. The plan is for him to ramp up his minutes though out the tourney.

Giannis will face soft triple teams, going to be tough on him.

Can someone explain Walkup to me? He seems like average college player who should've went to car sales but somehow runs the point for Olympiacos and Greece.

SGA cooking everybody. You see Walkup and Calathes are overwhelmed, this is completely different level than Euroleague, handle even better than Mike James, but taller, way more shifty and even Better finisher. These guys will be deep fried today.

It's to make housing athletes easier for the host city. There has to be some sort of limit but it can certainly be argued to be too low.

FIBA rarely reward flopping, their games start at the aforementioned time. How come nobody in the NBA has ever thought of this before?
