Cheap vet. Knows the system. Plays both sides of the ball and is a good shooter.

Can be traded if we need salary filler.

Same. Last season AB played as a spot-up shooter, Harris played as a spot-up shooter, and KCP played as a spot-up shooter. I know we want AB to develop into a playmaker, but it feels like overkill to have Harris back.

We have enough people who know the system that could take his spot. His spot-up shooting was needed the most in the playoff and he couldn’t be bothered.

I feel the same about Cole but we resigned him in beginning of last year so it is what it is.

This simply speaks volumes that there really was no value for fultz around the league. Lol

Fultz is like a boxer/mma fighter that gets KO’d and is the never the same.. gun shy and hesitant. Just a shell of himself now

With all respect...he WAS the #1 overall pick BUT he was NEVER a good pro. Not ever. Not sure when his body fell apart, but he's not the first college superstar that doesn't make it in the NBA...so, maybe just a shell of his "college-self"?

*you can be picky and point out particular nights when he was a good pro, but that's not evidence of anything of substance

Yeah. Some people still haven't earned being sarcastic without using green font lol.

For me it's as simple as Gary>Cole.

The Nets aren't trying to win though.

Context matters.

It's not like Fultz would make them any better
Killian is just 4 years younger and has more "team friendly" playstyle

Killian is actually very good defender and has one of bettter assist/turnover rates in nba.
He is probably modern day homless/s***y Rondo/Ricky Rubio.

Can't shoot, can't score, but can pass. Not so usless if your team has solid offensive options around him, also he is 22 years old and was stuck in hell named Detroit Pistons. Maybe he is better than we saw. Who knows...

Maybe pairing him with Cam Thomas who doesn't pass, doesn't defend, but can score like lightning will be the perfect yin/yang backcourt.
I thought that Cam had similar defensive numbers as Franz did prior to last season. I'm not sure what we could trade for him. I would assume Cole would be part of the package to get him.

Up until last season, Cam's net rating was really good, and his defensive rating was low. I remember Phoenix fans saying he was a good defender.

Fultz actually played on our roster during our tanking years lol

Killian hayes doesnt even have a guaranteed roster spot.

Fultz wasnt even starter when we made the playoffs last year.

Both of them dont contribute to winning.

Fultz simply sucks and doesnt even have a career that can be rescued from purgatory.

I get what you're saying but I would rather have a high character guy who at least used to be good and knows what it's like to battle adversity and persevere. That's just me.

What I'm saying is if they both cancel each other out on the floor, I'll take the guy who's perceived as a good dude and positive influence on the locker room.

Let’s trade Franz. We need better shooting around Paolo.

Tyus Jones went extremely cheap. Would’ve preferred him over Harris.

Read on Twitter

I know people are going to complain about not signing him and instead signing Cory Joseph.

But Tyus is probably going to start in Phoenix, or at the very least play enough minutes where he could rebuild his value.

That wouldn't have necessarily been the case in Orlando, at least not without trading Cole.

how does he need to "rebuild value"? he had arguably his best year. Career high in ppg, career high in 3pt%, apg, rpg, highest TS, tied for highest PER.

My sense is that much like Gary Trent Jr., Tyus Jones went into free agency looking for big money and a starting role and in both cases, the market just wasn’t there for that.

And by the time the player realized it, it was too late and they had to take the minimum with a contender to try and get their value back up for next summer.
