Nope, Tatum and Haliburton are the weakest links. Correct move by Kerr and Spo to remove them from the lineup. Tatum particularly didn’t show us anything in the friendly games. Inefficient chucking just like the finals

It’s actually an awful move, if not for this Olympics, for the future of this team. Tatum was the second option on the last Olympics team (played great as well), and now he isn’t playing minutes? It’s disrespectful. Why would he even show up next time? He should be playing at least some minutes.

Nothing awful about it. Its about winning and if youre not about winning, then the team shouldnt want you. Tatum is not Lebron and Hali is not Steph. Both of those guys are replaceable, even in future olympics/FIBA comps

Good luck to Team USA if you aren’t going to use Tatum in future Olympics, lol. And then our fans complain about lack of continuity. It is disrespect.

Pay these dudes no mind. Whole preseason and season, these dudes were guaranteeing that nuggets to repeat.

Jokic's 2nd best player can't even play ahead of Lu Dort for Team Canada... just saying/trolling :)

Ok, Celtics’ best player can’t even get minutes on the US team

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Does Serbia not have a better guard than this 40 year old farmer, Micic?

I’m talking about just over the last few weeks included. Not just this one game. Yeah KD would easily be 2nd anyway ahead of Jokic as well.

He is clearly not the player he was, but he is for sure trying more then the others. We all know this is his last team USA tourmanent and, best player or not, he is going for that MVP.
IMO KD ist clearly better FIBA player then Lebron, but he will not have the usage to show it.

Give Jokic the team KD Lebron has. And he would be the best player on the court. He can only do so much again this super team

He’s just not the best player, simple as that. Giannis was never in question as best player on the court vs Canada, he was by far the best of either team. You were just putting the Serbian team in the same sentence yesterday and I told you that they sucked. You’re always wrong lmao

Again tho, why? Tatum isnt irreplaceable like a Lebron/KD. He's a strong star, but he's not someone you bend over backwards for. 4 years from now, youre gonna be able to get guys like Paolo/Barnes/Flagg/Zion/Mobley in their primes. If Tatum isnt gonna give you the best chance to win today and its gonna effect his commitment moving forward, then he was never a guy you wanted. This is about the team first and foremost and everyone has to get in line.

They had multiple exhibition games and Hali/Tatum proved to be the weak links. Is the coaching staff supposed to ignore this and put a worse product on the floor as an appeasement?

KD is the GOAT Team USA player of all time by a huge margin.
