-Utah obviously wants to tank to keep their pick and get Cooper Flagg and keep their books clear. It's public knowledge. They're going to have big money committed to two other big men (Collins and Markkanen ((assuming he doesn't get traded))) Kessler will be due for an extension next summer. Maybe they're trying to get ahead of that? They made a similar move with Agbaji at the deadline this year...
-The Knicks had an excess of picks this year and obviously couldn't get away with not picking at least a few prospects. It's possible they looked at Dadiet as someone a small market rebuilding team may have interest in because he's 100% not NBA ready at the moment..
-I thought it was also very interesting that many reporters thought he was a "draft and stash" on draft night. Then surprisingly the Knicks buy him out of his contract overseas but negotiate the smallest contract based on his draft slot... Both things that would seemingly benefit a small market team who may want to pinch pennies like, idk, say the Utah Jazz...
-The Knicks to my knowledge still have not signed Kevin McCullar officially..He could be a "sweetener' with no salary attached if they are still holding his draft rights.
Feels like something is definitely cooking. Beginning of August feels like the time we hear something
