Simple.

As weak and flimsy a “point” as it was, brw at least kept it in the proper thread.

You OTOH couldn’t help but drag your identity-GOATing out into the GB by highlighting it as its own thread when it wasn’t close to thread worthy since everyone can see it doesn’t make sense.

Blatantly clear you just wanted to score points against your debate adversary “in public.”

Just ignore these type of posts unless they make a point.

Those types of posts are harmless and attention is merely attention towards you.
That's why I find the threads quoting me flattering, tbh. Rent free, as the cliche goes.

Enjoy the free dopamine and don't give it in return.

Besides, Jordan is now closing in on 4x the votes. Try to be content with knowing you're right.
It's such a lopsided comparison. And it's going to happen every decade, with at least one player until someone
is finally good enough to be worthy of the comparison.

Try to remind yourself (that most of the time) you want to address posts if they make a point- it's changed my realgm game completely.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

I just love seeing all the similar threads being merged into this one (rightfully), then people getting pissed off about them being merged, lol.

It was far from a "GOAT" discussion. Literally had nothing to do with it. You'd think I'd mention LeBron if the lies you are telling were true.

I wanted to see if others agreed that a player could have a massive off-the-court impact on players like said poster was saying about MJ. Just because you think it's an asinine point doesn't mean it isn't thread worthy. You owe bledredwine an apology for implying that his point was stupid.

I started watching early 90’s so ima only go with players from that era to now (also saw clips of others in the poll), and imo nobody taking nba goat title from Jordan

I can see that. The older majority saying Jordan is best being outnumbered by younger generations who never saw him play. Which means lebron would get the title and the constant nips at his feet until the next generational talents fans outnumber his own.

If we are saying that has not happened yet then Jordan is on an 30+ year GOAT streak. I dont think lebrons run at the top will last as long. Not with the way the game is played today and the continued increase in how players are marketed.

lebron is the first guy at his level in the nba to intentionally market himself as the best ever. Its helped and i can see future players at Jordan's and Lebrons level doing the same if not more.

Not really. A lot of the fans who have MJ number 1 are of my generation. Millennials who are between late 20s and late 30s. Nothings changing for a very long time. If you want to enjoy Lebron thats your call as it is others to not pick him. Nothings changing any time soon.

it seems that way to you because all you care about is MJ vs Lebron. I personally have Tim Duncan and Shaq over Lebron as well. Not to mention Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson let alone Michael Jordan. Sorry but not sorry to say the worlds not going to shift any time soon if ever where majority of the vote is going to shift in favor of Lebron James. a man who led his teams to less rings despite team hopping around to join up with other established talent to try to take the easy route to rings.

There are legends who actually helped their coach go down in history as one of the best at that field in the industry, and who helped their teammates develop alongside them. To me that will always be more impressive than anything Lebron ever did. Enjoy remaining in the minority pal.

It only happens in every single sport every single time. In this case Jordan has not played for over two decades now. Your going to see people who know him for his shoes more then his basketball game. Guys in Lebrons era will be telling everyone how tough it was and the younger generation willing be telling everyone Wemby is the best.

Also someone else already laughed at this but this is pure delusion lol

Now you know how ridiculous it looks when you guys compare Lebron to Jordan.

He’s a a lot closer to those guys than Jordan and many players still call Kobe better… who was considered the better player through 2009 anyway, including by lebron himself.

Jordan is the goat.

But if people are calling lebron the goat, then I’m calling Steph the goat instead.
