Neither Wagner can put it in the hoop. Heavy sledding for Germany.

Im not afraid to say it... this Germany vs Serbia game should ve the gold medal game after that ref-inspired games they both had.

One had some home cooked flavored calls while the other had star struck ref eyes with the other..

Franz probably would do well with a sports psychology. Pressurized situation seem to really affect him.

Franz statistics look better than he did during the game. Once we walled off the drive to the basket he was no threat.

Like i mentioned before... he is like Giannis. Only way to stop him especially going down is to build a wall. And like the Bucks before, Germany just didnt have the help to give Franz when the entire team is concentrating on him.

I would stop short of comparing him to Giannis, they are a different kind of players.

I don't care about missed bunnies, but that 3pt shot right there exemplifies the issue. Two of our players were there and both decided not to close out on Franz and instead focus on rebounding. And before someone jumps in with a comment that his 3pt shooting will improve, it is not about that either as he is fish out of water in midrange as well. A wing cannot be getting that kind of treatment in modern basketball, certainly not on a max contract.

It was a problem last year and will continue to be a problem, if the paint gets clogged then Franz gets taken out of the game. Midrange and three point shooting will define whether he continues to improve or not. He really needs a summer off where he can work on it.
