Yeah, that was close. I feel bad for Johnson that she stumbled on that hurdle. She ran the same time Masai just did in the semis and was right there in the mix when she hit it. She's 28 too so I doubt she will make it to LA. But there are some other good ones. Tonea Marshall looked great in the trials. We are really deep there but it seems like overall the field is very deep. That seems like the one event where women are closer to men than in any other track event.

Awesome huge kick by Grant Fisher down the stretch there. A few more meters and he may have gotten Silver. Ingebrigtsen is pretty awesome.

The **** is Shelby McEwen doing?

There was a tie in the high jump, exactly like in Tokyo. There Barshim and Tamberi agreed to both get gold.

Now McEwen refused. They are jumping until one of them makes it.

He might trade a gold for a silver.

No Hall in the 4x400 m. No Norman either.

They replaced Quincy with Rai.

What a talent Tebogo is!!

Ran the anchor for Botswana, almost beat Rai.

So close to the WR.

43.13 for Rai, 43.03 for Tebogo. Insanity.

Also karma never fails. McEwen lost the jump off. He wouldn't share gold, he got the silver.

If the americans lose the medal race to China, remember his name...and don't let him on the plane.

Why wouldn’t he share the gold? That makes no sense.

I was thinking maybe Rai didn't push Tebogo enough and letting Tebogo turn it into a 200m, 150m sprint to the finish without a strong enough pace was gonna cost him... but it was a pretty blazing 400m. Tebogo with a 43.06 400m split is insane for a guy who doesn't run that distance really. That may be one of the top-5 fastest 400m splits.

It's gonna be trending for sure the following days.

The umpire got them both together, Kerr was already laughing and almost celebrating. He knew what happened in Tokyo(two golds).

Then McEwen said 'jump'.

They both needed to agree to be two golds.

So they jumped it off until one made a clearence. They both missed for awhile until Kerr cleared once.

It's up there with Flo Jo anchoring against the USSR in 1988.

Same result, the sprinter lost to the specialist.

IIRC, Flo Jo split in the 48'.

Sydney FTW... Also great decision putting her 2nd. It just let her run away from the field and make sure you didn't have anyone running in traffic before getting to her on an 'anchor leg'.

Gabby Thomas with her 3rd Gold. So close to the WR again.

Sydney just did a 47.70 split....

Wish I could've seen Femke Bol overtaking everyone else for the silver. Sick camera work NBC.

Yeah, I'm thinking you have the gold right there...take it...and let the guy you competed with get his share..you both win. But mainly you secure gold.

Seemed dumb.

I was really surprised that she didn’t run in the 400m race. She would have done great.
