Crazy what Hull did. Everybody talking about Clark and Hull, but I just want to point out Mitchell led both teams with 27, and I've hardly heard her name mentioned.

Mitchell continues to pour in the points with little fanfare.

I know that the Fever need a wing badly but man. Letting her go without a good replacement would be really bad

This is what I've been saying for a while now, the only way I would try to get Mitchell back is if you can get someone like Ariel Atkins or a player like that. Basically, someone who is an accomplished scorer would defend better than her. Players like Mitchell are not in abundance.

Obviously, if Lexie Hull plays anything remotely like she did tonight, the Fever are an outright good team.

Kinda hard with Clark drawing two defenders, plus the Fever had Mitchell and Boston on the court too. You can't guard them all.

And yep, Kelsey delivered once again. Increasingly, she and Clark are both on during the same games. When that happens, the Fever are gonna score at least 90.

Anyone see Skylar purposely bump into CC at the end of the game i think when a timeout was called? CC was pumping the fans up in front of the Storm bench and Skylar bumped right into her and CC kept doing it.

Funny stuff. Storm mad she's in her arena pumping up her fans. Get used to it she'll be doing it in everyones arena

Storm coaching staff didn't like that and confronted Sides about it

I remember her doing that somewhere, it might have been in Phoenix? There was a big Fever (or Clark) crowd present.
It's interesting to me that on top of everything else she does, she also plays cheerleader and whips the crowd up. Her being so engaged just makes her all the more interesting to watch.

Yes, it was Phoenix. The Mercury organization is still salty over that. A few days ago it trolled Caitlin about how Phoenix's guard was in Paris, how did you spend your vacation? Kinda tacky if you ask me.

She'll just use that to drive herself harder. I seem to recall their organization trying to recruit Clark to their team around that time. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Besides, the WNBA team beat the US team, and the Fever have swept the Mercury.

There’s elite skills, and there’s “no one on the same level in the whole league” skill. That’s CC’s court vision. With even more experience (both with her teammates and with knowing defenders), she’ll cut down the turnovers a bit, too. But there’s no one that sees the floor and can execute passes the way she does. Super fun to see.

Nash with more of a scorer’s mentality and considerably better defense. That’s the comp.

I watched those clips from multiple angles and it's questionable at best to say she was trying to show up the Storm bench, but it's quite obvious that SDS purposeful shoulder check brought her about 5 steps closer to them. Like with all of SDS theatrics and jawing to the officials from game to game all game long are you sure this is the best spokesperson for team sportsmanship and letting cooler heads prevail, Noelle Quinn?

If the goal was to make both you and the opposing coach look like doofuses then mission accomplished coach Noelle. Ultimately if you feel you have been slighted you use it as fuel for the next encounter; at the very least wait till the whistle has blown. I think Seattle was just blindsided a bit and was not expecting to get blown out like that.

You dont get rid of Micthell unless you have an upgrade at the position. She is very talented. since day 1 she has taken advantage of the extra attention Caitlin has gotten and made defenses pay for it. The problem is the defensive end; neither Caitlin or Aaliyah are defensive stoppers so you need to balance the roster. Similar to what the warriors did with Monta Ellis. Sometimes you cant have it all.

Hell of a contribution from Lexie.

I saw a video showing Clark standing and yelling at the Storm bench as time expired. It seemed that she was telling them to stop whining and crying. If so, yeah, I can see the Storm players and coach being furious. Nobody wants to hear that from another player, especially a rookie.

I also can see Clark doing something like that when the blood is rushing to her head. :D

This is me arm chair coaching, but i think you've gotta adjust. I understand in theory, letting Hull bomb away might play in your favor based on the numbers. But sometimes the numbers will betray you and you get an outlier performance like what we saw yesterday.

I'd rather give up a contested two inside from AB over continuing to allow threes to drop, but again. Easy for me to sit here and say so when I'm not in the heat of action

Both teams, especially Clark and Diggins Smith were talking trash all game long. I think it makes the game more fun when the players are emotionally invested like this. The Storm should be mad. They got absolutely smoked in the 2nd half.

That's how it should be -- an intense, physical, and skilled game with players who leave nothing on the court, in front of a raucous audience. After that game, Storm players and fans were steaming at Clark. The next time these teams face each other, they want her to go down! That's how it should be too.

Diggins was getting annoyed late in the game; you could tell by how she was guarding Clark and that time she intentionally bumped into her. The whole you shouldnt do this or that stuff late in the game was silly. To the victor go the spoils.

Yep I like that. It's entertainment at the end of the day, it's fun to see Clark play the villain role while on the road, kind of similar to another professional hooper who played in Indiana many moons ago.

If you want your opponent to stop, you beat them on the court. I don't wanna hear anything else. Unwritten rules are boring. Talk trash. Show people up. This is basketball

No one told Seattle to leave Hull wide open that many times. Next time game plan better

I love their dynamic. AB was in CC's ear pushing her when the Fever struggled early on. Now look at them

Two adorable dorks they are. I look forward to watching them grow as a duo.
