I'm implying that this board would go crazy if Mikal was on the Jazz and reports came out that Ainge was asking for 4 unprotected firsts, another lightly protected first, a pick swap and a likely high second round pick.

meaning, he is waiting till the exact last second before camp starts. why? because he's an **** that wants to hold everyone hostage thinking that it will create leverage and some team will get desperate and just give in to his asking price.

its obviously planted by someone. and I bet thats ainge trying to signal to the knicks that he wants the deal or a similar deal thats already been discussed but he personally turned down.

the knicks aren't leaking "Kessler isn't in Utahs future plans." if they actually thought he was available. if that was actually true, he'd be in a knicks jersey already and the knicks wouldn't have to leak anything about the trade.

Being in the league for some players is just good enough. I think that's where we are with Sims. He's had opportunities. He just never delivered consistently. Personally, I think he just doesn't have good instincts. The game doesn't seem to come nature to him.

Yeah that's kinda the vibe I'm getting. Nice kid, great physical tools but he doesn't seem to have that alpha personality.

OTOH, he is behind Mitch, Precious, ?Huckporti, ?Skapintsev, and Randle or OG, so he's about as good as anybody we could get for that cost and the very last ditch, end of the bench C position. The 5's we're thinking about need to be better than Precious. He's good for if there are injuries and other guys have too many fouls.... so he might stay if we find a new 5.

Yeah. I mean I would love if he finally said "**** it I'm going to go beast mode when I get my time on the floor" and bust out. But he's like the C version of Frank Ntilikina right now for me.

I'm curious to how Sims and Mitch would have looked throughout their careers with a point guard like Kolek who may actually look to find the big rolling down the lane. The Knicks guards haven't really been good at that.

We might send them Kolek and Dadiet for Kessler and a second rounder and call it a day. I hope not, but that's the type of return Ainge would probably accept given their tanking aspirations and the fact that their coach isn't a fan of Kessler.

Does Utah really need another small young guard like McBride or Kolek with Sexton, George and Collier on the roster? Clarkson is still on the team too but they did have a ton of small guards last year so anything is possible. McBride does provide some defense the other guards lack and Kolek is probably the most natural point guard of the group. I just assume they would be looking for more size but roster construction may not matter to them at this moment.

I have no idea how a trade like that gets done. Like, allegedly Danny pushed back on 2 1st round picks and I assume Deuce. What, 3 picks? What the hell does he want.

Ainge pushed back on 2 1st round picks. Not sure on what level of protection they had, though. If protection were the difference, I think the deal gets done. I think he just wants more picks. Walker worth 2 1st and 2 2nds? Would you give him the satisfaction?
