He was not moving like this with us….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always wonder what his game and the team's offense would have looked like if he was just given the green light to shoot 3's. It's not like his form is terrible. I know there would have been many ups and downs that i'm not sure Thibs would be willing to live with but if he would have been able to stretch the floor as a shooter along with his ability to pass out of the high post it would have opened things up so much.
i do think thibs shouldve def gave him the green light to shoot 3s. his form is pretty decent.
but with that being said, imo i really feel like hes gonna have a really small role on OKC versus he did with us. i doubt they are gonna play him through the high post and let him shoot 3s. he about to be last year's version of himself
I'm very curious to see how he will be used in OKC and he will be missed here but I do think we tend to overstate how big of a role he had in New York. His passing was great but it was a very limited part of the offense. He took a step back as far as involvement from his time in LA even last year. Per 100 possessions he actually had more shot attempts, free throw attempts, assists, blocks, time of possession etc in LA. He basically only had more minutes last year, controlled his fouling and improved a bit as a rebounder in New York.
It's hard for me to imagine him having a smaller role in OKC than the limited role of the center on a Thibs team in the slowest paced offense in the league along with the addition of Mikal and the return of Randle and Mitch.
