Re: Bucks Ownership Thread - Junior buys 10%
Seems some smaller minority owners gave up their share and Junior bought it. Nobody from the main ownership group has jumped ship, so that's good. I'd be bummed if we got left behind with Haslem being the main owner.

The Bucks did not disclose Bridgeman’s ownership stake, but Jimmy Haslam during Thursday’s press conference explained how the deal came to fruition: “About a year ago, there were some owners that had small percentages — half percent, 1% — that wanted to tender their stock, so the (Bucks franchise) bought them in and resold those to Junior.”

Junior talking about how the Bucks needed to remain in Milwaukee around the 14:00 min mark put a smile on my face.

Re: Bucks Ownership Thread - Junior buys 10%
I don't know if this has been posted anywhere, but I've seen/heard reports that Junior is buying in for $400 mil to get 10% at a $4 billion valuation of the franchise.
That is partially correct, but he bought the 10% at $350 million, not $400 million. There was some mechanism used, related to his standing/history with the team, that allowed him to receive a percentage discount on the valuation of the franchise.

The presser provided the tie here. Pilot gas stations also have Wendy’s. Junior was brought in by Haslam. So he and Junior presumably control 35%.
If you assume the other two have 25% each that would mean 15% open, so assume Fascitelli then has at least 10% of that amount.
In any event, given what we’ve seen with other teams needing to shed salary, we’re crazy lucky our ownership spends and spends.

Yeah, it's awesome they way they spend. Too bad we couldn't combine Attanasio with the Bucks owners. Bucks overspend because they need to do to hiring completely unqualified management. Attanasio wins just as much without spending a dime by hiring awesome people who've earned their way to the top by being awesome at what they do. Let Attanasio hire, but spend like Bucks ownership.
