Re: Breaking: KAT to the Knicks
Wow. I'm pretty surprised but most surprised they traded Donte.
This is much better than including Mitch in a deal. Hart being the odd man out was no bueno.
Thank you to Randle for helping put the Knicks back on the map.

Re: Breaking: KAT to the Knicks
Knicks have the TPMLE still right? Is there a wing available to use that on?

Maaaaaan, two times in one offseason - you're so lucky I'm out to dinner with the fam and can only sneak my phone under the table
But you're taking it like a G, for real, my man.

Re: Breaking: KAT to the Knicks
guys
do not underrate the fact that KAT was willing to be robin.
Randle was never going to harmoniously give up touches in his contract year if he felt he wasn't going to stay with the Knicks. it would've been a bad vibes situation

Does anyone here think that this move was precipitated by Mitch’s injury or was always in the cards?

I'm not sure I like this trade and I've advocated for trading for Towns in the past.
Ok, so they get better at going 5 out at times, but who is the starting SG or SF?
Hart?
So that means both Donte AND Hart are gone from the bench.
I think this is a trade where the Knicks actually got worse.

Beautiful day today, wouldn't you say?
Not really. I still think Randle is better than KAT. But as I said, if they have our jersey on, I'll cheer. But giving up DD in this deal **** blows. I swear to Christ is JB wasn't given a head's up on this after what he did this Summer, there's a harsh **** storm coming.
Really interested on T-Wolves motivation. And why do this so close to the start of training camp.
We got the 3 Nova boys that matter: Brunson, Mikal, Josh.
Randle will never be better than KAT. He's the ops now, and will never be a Knick again.
Come join us is our unbridled KAT stannery.
In the words of our new center.

Thinking this had more to do with Julius' upcoming contract.

I watched Boston
I watched us
and my only logical conclusion was, we needed KAT to beat them. specifically how they play defense and switching.
play 5 out.
we would've never beaten Boston playing Mitch or ihart as a starter.

Re: Breaking: KAT to the Knicks
huge difference
KAT - 62.3% TS
Randle - 55.7% TS
KAT is also amazing in C&S which Randle really isn't so he will play really well off Brunson. KAT isn't a great defender but he's certainly more versatile and impactful defender than Randle because he can protect the rim a lot better.
And then you factor in the contract situation. We now don't have to sweat out potentially losing Randle for nothing. And have control over KAT...also if Giannis gets fed up in MIL down the road.

Hart has to start now unless we make another move, if that’s possible.
