Sounded on point to me. Obviously him & Giannis needed more open communication & bonding.

Sure hope they can spam that text message pick and roll vs Boston. Spoiler... it's not... everything we heard sounds like code for impending hero-ball year. We're the 2nd version on the Clippers or KD Nets.. a bunch of big names just doing their own thing and shaking their head at each other when it doesn't work.

Except the part you skip where when our stars share the floor, we're the best team in the league.

Giannis playing big mins to close the regular season out of necessity for playoff seeding is a major situation for us to avoid.

Khris being healthy enough to shoulder some of that weight sure would be great.

Dame being Dame is a bigger deal though. As well as enough of our supporting cast being competent.

Maybe Delon Wright is washed.

But he’s sure saying the right things:

My book has Bucks +1400 to win title, +570 to win the east. O/U season wins is 50. I think I'm going to take all of them.

Dame and Giannis’ chemistry will be better this year. How could it not be? Of course we all would’ve liked for them to get on the court with each other this summer but let’s not forget that these are grown men with different responsibilities during the off-season.

I’m sure a lot of these chemistry questions will be dealt with in training camp and I’d be surprised if Doc and his staff doesn’t have those two in specific go through an intensive two-man game boot camp.

It’s also not lost on me that if Dame is back to more of his Portland self, yes the chemistry with Giannis might still be clunky, but then he’s just increased the already high ceiling of this team. I’ll choose to believe Dame when he says that he’ll be more himself this season until proven otherwise.

Baddy Chuck wrote:Calling out Khris for Giannis having to play hurt when the alternative is Khris playing hurt because our literal All-NBA talent couldn't get their **** together all season seems misplaced but I am a bit of a Midds apologist so who knows.

If he's ready for the season and the conditioning is fine, which obviously is an ask, him missing running some team scrimmages and a fan fest game or something is something I'm fine with.

The problem is, historically, missing training camp and a couple warmup games turns into an entire year of Progression.

How do you even make the argument that Delon is washed? Net-positive his entire career, even while playing for horrible teams like Washington.

Guy was a +13 when he got to an actual competitive situation in Miami last year.

People are sleeping on Delon so hard.

With the Olympics and Giannis getting married when did people expect Lillard and Giannis to link up? With last year under their belt it should not take that long in camp to grow their PnR chemistry.

Apparently Giannis should've spent his honeymoon in Portland.

:reporter:

Dame was going to Greece but sounds like Giannis recovery took until he had to report for National team.

Plus being sick from separation with family all season, just let him get in time with his kids. Giannis would get that as much as anyone.

I can picture exactly how Steph would have handled all of this. I can picture his demeanor when things dont go well. Im not gonna say that Dame was a cancer last season but the vibes were not great, even though he always said the right things.

That's what we're going to find out, right? The legacy of his career is mostly coming down to the next season or two. He'll either be viewed as just a fun scorer who wasn't a success from a sporting POV (like Melo & Iverson), or he can be both.

He needs to have the urgency he didn't have last year or seemingly in Portland staying too long in a losing project. The offseason training & his comments indicate he has this perspective. Now we need to see it on the court, including on d.

Sure hope they can spam that text message pick and roll vs Boston. Spoiler... it's not... everything we heard sounds like code for impending hero-ball year. So good they got their coach fired.

We weren't that good.. there were flashes and some impressive superhero stuff but good defenses exposed us for the disjointed team we were -- that, again, got our coach fired. Go back and watch the Indy in-season tournament game... better yet, go to every postgame thread where the comments were -- hope we can flip the switch in the playoffs because even the wins were ugly.. let's not rewrite this.. something TEAMwise has to be different... so far we have some text messages... sure hope there's MTC

Hero ball doesn't consistently work.. why do you guys think Durant could only win his rings in GS despite his amazing hero ball moves and high level teammates... now think about the Bucks and what we heard yesterday... text messages

I think what set me off is when Delon repeated exactly what Beasley said last year.. point of attack defender.. sh#t is scripted. Doc says nothing useful.. it's like talking to a lawyer... and all lawyers do is lie/spin.
